People do it every day, but it can be scary to move to another country - especially if you don't speak the language! This community is for anyone who plans to move to Paris (or anywhere in France, really) and would like to meet some other english-speaking speaking people beforehand.
Of course, your intention should be to learn French as well as you can, before you move or during your stay. However, it would be nice to have a little "break" once in a while and know that there are other english-speakers out there.
If you're fluent in French already, but would be willing to give someone a hand upon their arrival in Paris, speak up! This community can be for exchanging information about work, life, rent, challenges, and stories about finally getting up the courage to move away from wherever you are currently living.
