It shows the other side, the bad guys, what of their story, beautiful and desperate, doom-laden, because you know how it all ends...I love the story it tells, the snapshots from their lives, grinding them down, tied up in these themes of family, love and death.

Also it deals with the class struggle the power dynamics, the species/race relations, all from the point of view of the 'bad guys' the bigots and the downtrodden. Harsh, but interesting, makes you stop and think.
