Join the LiveJournal Revival! Are you fed-up with garbage, full-of-shit sites where nobody actually communicates, such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Twitter? Do you wish your old friends who've migrated to those sites would return to LiveJournal? The the_lj_revival community has been set up with that aim in mind, and you are invited to join it. If you are already on LiveJournal and still have a Facebook profile, and would like to see more people returning to LJ or setting up accounts here, we invite you to post a link to this community on your Facebook Timeline. If you would like to find out who is still using LiveJournal and make contact with those who are already here, you are invited to copy and paste the 'about me' questions on the profile page and post them with your answers to the community. Kick Out The Jams this Thursday!!
GHOULS IN THE GARAGE crashes TT's in Central Square on the Third Thursday of every month, digging up an orgy of mind-blowing tracks from rock's rawest cemetery! DJs Mary Widow and J. Cannibal spin RAW & RARE 60s punk, garage, hard psych, psychobilly and scuzz. From The Sonics to The Cramps and beyond, party like it's 1969 with blown out cuts from the fiercest animals in rock n roll! Plus, Terri will be pouring in the lounge to fuel your Thursday thirst. We were so psyched to see how many people got their stomp on last month that we're adding go-go girls this time around to keep that dancefloor energy going. We're also bringing more films to project and, since the Sox season is over, we'll also have cult classics playing on the tv over by the bar. Cheap pool, stiff drinks and vintage horror flicks projected all night long! 18+ and only five bucks!!!( Flyer under CutCollapse ) | | Saturday, March 3rd, 2007 | 6:16 pm [themilkhouse]

amazing recording deal, march 1st through 11th
From now until March 11th The Milkhouse is offering full 10-hour lockouts for only $100. That's less than 1/3 of our normal day rate, and it's way beyond a awesome deal. Sessions will be booked on a first-come, first-serve basis and have been going FAST. We will never be running this promotion again, so even if you're not ready to record a whole album, it might not be a bad idea to get in and record what you've got while the rates are so low. Interested? Call me. (phone is preferred over email due to the rate at which sessions are getting booked) -Shane 603. 686. 6182. shanemilkhouse@gmail.com myspace.com/themilkhouse www.themilkhouse.com 32 Rugg Road, Allston | | Monday, November 13th, 2006 | 6:21 am [mostly_kings]

We have been constantly writing new material and are in the process of booking many shows. Lets bring some rock! Be our friend! Auditions! Boston! Auditions for: FORBIDDEN ZONE – LIVE! Forbidden Zone is coming to the stage! The 1980 cult classic written by Richard Elfman (Freeway) and composed by and featuring his brother Danny Elfman (Nightmare before Christmas, Pee Wee’s Big Adventure) is being debuted this year live and on stage for the very first time. This is the official(Elfman approved!) premiere of Forbidden Zone. The production team for this performance is so excited to have the opportunity to bring Forbidden Zone to the stage. We are seeking equally enthusiastic performers to help us bring it to life. PLOT DESCRIPTIONOingo Boingo fans and midnight movie mavens will love this bizarre black-and-white feature packed with music, madness, and members of the Elfman clan. The story revolves around the Hercules family, who live in a house that just happens to hide a secret entrance to the Sixth Dimension in the basement. When daughter Frenchy skips school one afternoon, she finds herself irresistibly drawn to the forbidden door, and winds up a prisoner in this alternate world. King Fausto, the diminutive leader of the Sixth Dimension, is enamored with the beautiful young Frenchy and keeps her in the same cell as his favorite concubines, despite the disapproval of Queen Doris. Frenchy's brother, Flash, follows her into the Forbidden Zone with Gramps in tow, intending to save her, but they too are captured and must call school chum Squeezit for help. Squeezit tries to assist, but ends up captured and decapitated by Satan, though this development doesn't keep his disembodied noggin from flying about and informing King Fausto that the Queen is planning to dispose of his beloved Frenchy. The appearance of the King's first wife and the kidnapping of his topless daughter further confuse matters, but everything is wrapped up neatly with an elaborate song and dance number at the conclusion. ~ Fred Beldin, All Movie Guide (http://movies2.nytimes.com/gst/movies/movie.html?v_id=18170) We are currently casting performers who can carry a tune, dance a few steps and pull off a joke. We are looking for a solid and committed cast, as this show will be running from November –March with several breaks. Performances will be in New England, primarily in Boston and Derry N.H. Actors will be compensated. This production is non-equity. Audition Info: When: Sunday June 11th 2pm. Where: 1171 Boylston St. Apt 12. Boston, Ma What to prepare:- A brief (1 min) comedic monologue, either from the film(we will have a few sides available)or one that you already know and are comfortable with. - 16 bars of your favorite tune. The music is by Danny Elfman (Oingo Boingo, The Nightmare Before Xmas, Beetlejuice) so anything jazzy and upbeat would be appreciated. **the soundtrack is available on Itunes and local stores** - There will be a short dance audition. Please wear something that allows for movement. Any Questions, please contact: muffetandspider@hotmail.com | | Wednesday, March 8th, 2006 | 12:09 pm [whentheskyopens]
