This journal is for those who still mourn the loss of that half televised, half hallucinated masterwork of television finery, Night Flight. (1983-1988, USA, though I remember seeing newish episodes as late as 1993 syndicated on a local channel.) Such madness as this has truly never been seen before or since. Beauty, absurdity, cascades of wild laughter and your worst nightmares all swirled into one perverse cup and served piping hot at "whythehellamistillup" o'clock. Mmmm. Now that's good sippin'.
So do you pine for Dynaman? Still wonder where you can find Bob Dobbs with your remote? Do you ache for a program that would be so bold as to splice "Reefer Madness" right next to the full 8 minutes of Laurie Anderson's "Oh, Superman?" Then please, come join us--remember, and mourn for what was, and what could've been.
