Flu Vaccinations 2026/27
Protect yourself this winter – get your flu vaccination.
Flu vaccinations are available through the NHS for eligible patients as part of the 2026/27 seasonal flu vaccination programme. If you are eligible, we will invite you to book your vaccination either by appointment booking link or telephone call. The flu vaccine is the best way to help protect yourself and those around you from flu and its complications.
Who is eligible?
The NHS flu vaccination is offered free to eligible people, including:
- Adults aged 65 and over
- People aged 18 to 65 in a clinical risk group, such as certain respiratory, heart, kidney, liver or neurological conditions, diabetes, or a weakened immune system
- Pregnant women
- Children aged 2 and 3 years old (age on 31 August 2026)
- Children aged 6 months to under 18 years in a clinical risk group
- Children of school age, who will generally be offered vaccination through their school
- People living in long-stay residential care homes
- Carers, including those receiving Carer’s Allowance or who are the main carer for an elderly or disabled person
- People experiencing homelessness
- People living with someone who is immunocompromised
- Frontline health and social care workers, through the appropriate occupational vaccination arrangements
When will vaccinations be available?
Vaccination for pregnant women and eligible children begins from 1 September 2026. Other eligible adult groups, including those aged 65 and over and adults in clinical risk groups, will begin from 1 October 2026.

The service is designed and run by the NHS, so your personal information is safe. It cuts our administrative workload and makes it easier for you to register. Paper forms are still available if you need one.
This practice has a zero tolerance approach and any patient who is violent, aggressive or abusive to GPs, nurses, practice staff or other patients and may be removed from the practice list.
We work very closely with our allied Community Nursing, Health Visiting and Specialist Teams to ensure your care is co-ordinated to the highest of standards.
