ラジオから流れた、聞き慣れぬ古い言葉。
庶民が理解できたのは、ただ一つ。
👉 「戦争に負けた」ということ。
🍚現実は焼け跡と飢え
・家を失い、闇市で食べ物を探す人々。
・家族を亡くし、途方に暮れる母と子。
・空襲の爪痕の中で、生きるだけで精一杯の庶民。
その一方で——
👑 昭和天皇はGHQの意向で全国を慰問
焼け跡に立ち、庶民の前に現れたとき、
「殺されるのでは…」という緊張が走った。
しかし返ってきたのは、意外にも——
「ありがたや〜🙌」の声。
👉 矛盾しながらも、この瞬間から
「＃象徴天皇制」が形を取り始めた。

From the radio flowed unfamiliar, archaic words.
For ordinary people, there was only one thing they could truly understand.
👉 “We lost the war.”
🍚 Reality: Burned Ruins and Hunger
• People who had lost their homes, searching for food in black markets.
• Mothers and children who had lost their families, left in despair.
• Ordinary citizens doing everything they could just to survive amid the scars of air raids.
Meanwhile—
👑 Emperor Shōwa, at the direction of GHQ, toured the nation
When he stood among the ruins and appeared before the people,
a tension ran through the crowd:
“Will he be killed…?”
Yet what came back was, unexpectedly—
“Thank you… 🙌”
👉 Full of contradictions, from this very moment,
the “Symbolic Emperor System” began to take shape.

制度・教育・空気・恐怖・同調圧力。

This series began with a simple question:
“How was the imperial system created,
and why did people accept it without question?”
It explores what is rarely taught in textbooks—
systems, education, atmosphere, fear, and social pressure.
By unraveling these layers one episode at a time,
the series examines how the relationship between the state and individuals gradually became distorted.
Rather than portraying heroes or villains,
it tells the story from the perspective of ordinary people living in their time,
tracing the flow from the Meiji era to the Showa era,
and ultimately toward war.
By reading from Episode 1,
you may begin to see why this country ended up choosing
a path from which there was no turning back.
