サンペイツバキ　中部地区原産の茶人の名のついた逸品

参平椿 （サンペイツバキ）


愛知県知多半島を原産とするラッパ咲、一重咲の
品種となるツバキ。花弁は桃色地に紅色の絞りと
白覆輪の両方が入る美しいツバキとなる。


その名は、愛知県半田市の茶人にして愛椿家でも
あった小栗参平氏がこの椿を特別に愛した事から
華道、安達式挿花の家元の安達潮花氏が命名した。


花弁は桃地色に紅絞りが入るもので、更に白覆輪
の入り方が美しい花である。花径は６〜８ｃｍと
中輪サイズながらその佇まいは見事なものである。

Sanpei Tsubaki (Camellia ‘Sanpei Tsubaki’)


Sanpei Tsubaki is a camellia variety native to the
Chita Peninsula in Aichi Prefecture. It features a trumpet-shaped, single-layered bloom. The petals display a beautiful combination of a pink base color
with red streaks and a white-edged variegation.


The name “Sanpei Tsubaki” was given by Adachi
Choka, the head of the Adachi-style Ikebana school,
in honor of Oguri Sanpei, a tea master and camellia enthusiast from Handa City, Aichi Prefecture, who deeply cherished this camellia.


This camellia’s petals have a pink base with red
streaks, and the elegant white edging further
enhances its beauty. With a flower diameter of approximately 6 to 8 cm, it is classified as a
medium-sized bloom, yet its presence is truly remarkable.
