カゴシマ　薔薇の美しさを凌ぐと云われるツバキは世界をも魅了する

その花弁の紅色地に、全体に白斑が入った
美しいツバキの品種である。


京都にてツバキの花を見るなら『城南宮』
（ジョウナングウ）と言われるほど豊富な
品種をもつこの場所には、日本各地からも
海外の観光客の多くも、ツバキを見る為に
此の場所を訪れる。城南宮にあるツバキは
約４００本、種類は１５０種類にも及ぶ。


銘品がズラリと並ぶその中でも、その美に
感嘆の声が上がるものもたくさんある中で
このツバキにも、沢山の方々がこのツバキ
を取り囲んでいて写真撮影がものすごい。
ツバキ愛好家の男性の方も居るが、女性の
方が圧倒的に多い。美しいものに対しての
探究心が強いからである。


この美しさの表現は、数あるバラの世界の
中にもないものだなと私も惚れてしまった
ひとつがこの『鹿児島』という品種であり、
日本のみならず、世界からも愛されている
ツバキとなる。

This is a beautiful camellia variety with crimson
petals adorned with white spots throughout.


In Kyoto, Jonangu Shrine is renowned as the
place to see camellia flowers. With its vast
collection of varieties, it attracts visitors not
only from all over Japan but also from abroad
who come specifically to admire these exquisite
blooms. Jonangu Shrine is home to approximately
400 camellia trees, representing about 150
different varieties.


Among the many distinguished camellias on
display, some are so breathtaking that they
elicit gasps of admiration. This particular
camellia also draws large crowds, with many
people eagerly gathering around it to take
photographs. While there are male camellia
enthusiasts, the majority are women, as their
passion for beauty and pursuit of aesthetic
excellence is particularly strong.


The unique beauty of this camellia is unparalleled,
even within the vast world of roses. I, too, fell in
love with this exceptional variety—Kagoshima.
It is a camellia cherished not only in Japan but
across the world.
