Hi! I’m Hilda Tutu. Nice to meet you properly.
Fashion and writing are what I love most. I write a stand-alone narrative essay series called ▷ “From My Closet To You” ◁ weaving fashion and heart.
But then I noticed…on this platform, you can’t really tell what my fashion is like…(haha)! So I decided to write this as a kind of self-introduction through fashion.
Here it is―10 questions in a Q&A style. Hope you enjoy it!
*I post my outfits on Instagram, so feel free to take a look.

1. What kind of fashion do you like?
Mixed looks are my favorite. Whether they’re polished or casual, I’m drawn to styles with a little edge and an offbeat twist.
2. What kind of outfits do you wear?
Mixed looks, maybe…just because that’s what I love, haha. Different pieces come together and there’s no one style I stick to. I guess I’m branching out into different looks.
3. What kind of clothes do you have the most of?
A lot of clothes in beige and brown tones! They’re my base colors for styling, after all…My closet looks like “the earth”—it’s overflowing with shades of brown.

4. What kind of items do you love?
Animal, camo, and tie-dye pieces are favorites of mine. So, I love all-over prints! I collect “THE MOUNTAIN” T-shirts and long-sleeve tees because they’re full of those kinds of prints. Character and movie graphic prints are favorites too.
5. What item do you wear the most?
“PINK HOUSE” cross necklace I found at a vintage shop. I wear other accessories too, but this is the one I wear the most! No matter the style, just putting it on gives the look a certain vibe.

6. What do you look to for fashion inspiration?
Pinterest and YouTube. Fashion in films and manga too.
(I look at Instagram too, but honestly…I think the keyword search is weak, and Reels are over in a second…)
7. What do you keep in mind when you look at fashion?
Not letting my values or preferences get too fixed. I look at lots of different fashion without getting caught up in gender, age, country, style, or brand price.
8. What matters most to you in your outfits?
Color! I’m super picky about it, haha. Unless black is mixed into a pattern or print, I don’t go for clothes with a black base. It’s all about pulling off the outfit in colors other than black. (Though in photos, the lighting can sometimes make them look black…)

9. How do you decide on the clothes and outfits that appear in your fashion essays?
I start by deciding on the theme I want to explore in the piece. From there, I trace my memories and turn them into a story. That’s why outfits from that time, and clothes from my closet, often show up in the piece. But depending on the world of the story, the characters, or the trends, I sometimes make small adjustments.
10. What matters most to you when you write fashion essays?
Fashion is a way to express who we are, and something that reflects our hearts. But just “wearing” and “seeing” aren’t enough to fully convey what’s inside. Our everyday lives are filled with all kinds of moments and stories. So when I write, I want to focus not only on the surface of fashion, but also on the heart that lives within it.

Separate from what I’ve written here, I’ve also put together my personal details—like my measurements and personal style analysis results—in the Instagram post below.

I’ll do my best so you can enjoy both the essays and the outfits!
And just between us… I’m the kind of person who feels really encouraged by follows, comments, and likes, haha.
