「角」に対する位置関係や動きによって、「どの種類の角か」「どのような状態か」によって前置詞が異なる。
in the corner
意味: 部屋や箱などの「内側の角」「隅」にいる、ある。
例文: There is a chair in the corner of the room.
和訳: 部屋の隅に椅子があります。
説明: 囲まれた空間（部屋など）の壁と壁が接する内側の部分を指す。
on the corner
意味: 通りや建物の「外側の角」「交差点の角」にいる、ある。
例文: The bank is on the corner of the 7th Street and Elm Avenue.
和訳: その銀行は、七丁目通りとエルム通りの角にあります。
