今日は仕事は休みでゆっくり試合をみました

私はプロの通訳をみると訳が気になります。

今回も大谷翔平選手の通訳の水原一平さんに
目がいきました。実は水原さんのファンです
水原さんの通訳は言葉の通訳だけでなく
コミュニケーションの通訳のように感じからです

Interviewer:
Thank you … Shohei. Mike Trout, your teammate. What was the plan against him in the final at-bat?
トラウト選手との最終打席の対戦はどうでしたか？

大谷選手：
打たれても、抑えても、悔いの残らないような
球を投げたいなと思っていたので、まぁ素晴らしいバッターですし、なんとか抑えれて良かったんじゃないかなと思います。
Whether I got him out or if he got a hit off me, I don't want to make any regrets. I just wanna make my best pitch.

Interviewer:
It's been a long time since you closed the game 2016. What was it like coming in again in the ninth?
2016年以来の抑えでしたが、どうでしたか？

大谷選手:
まぁ一度経験しているので、それが大きかったなと思いますし、その経験がやっぱりこう、準備の仕方だったりとか、全然いけるんだという、そういう気持ちにさせてくれたと思います。
Yeah, that experience was huge for me.
This wasn't my first time, like you said,
so I knew how to prepare for it – even though it was, like, five, six years ago. But that experience really helped out this time around.

Interviewer:
Shohei, you ran out to the bullpen a few times. Was the plan always to close the game?
ブルペンに何度か行っていましたけど、どういう気持ちで最後戻ってきたんですか？

大谷選手：
まぁ最後、打席が回らなかったので、そこらへんがまず良かったのと、最後のリプレイ検証もね、
ゆっくり歩いてくることができたので、
すべての運が良かったかなと思います。
Luckily, uh, my spot in the lineup didn’t come up that inning. And also that replay, that gave me time to kind of walk slowly
to the mound, so that was great.

Interviewer:
Shohei, a lot of players dream of a moment like this. A lot of players have said this is the best experience
they've had in baseball. How would you describe it? How would you rank it?
いろんな選手が、WBCは野球人生で一番楽しい大会だと言ってましたけど、翔平はどう思いますか？

大谷選手：
まぁ、国を代表して戦うという誇らしさもそうですし、本当に、自分のチームの、自分の国のね、
トップの選手たちとやるというのは、また各国の素晴らしい選手たちとやるっていうのは、本当に素晴らしい経験だったと思います。
It's just a different experience, um, with that, uh, representing your country and facing all the guys that represent their own countries.
There’s a little different intensity there, so … It was great.
