ゲーム音楽を語る＃67〜『Drifting Soul』
聴くだけであの時の感動を思い出します。
こんにちは。
どうも、けこぜろです。
昨日より2泊3日の旅行に出掛けています。
目的地は年に1回はほとんど必ず行く山中湖。
都会を離れてのんびり過ごすことだけを目的にやってきています。
旅先ではとくにやることがなくひたすらゲームを遊んでいるため、noteの投稿もすっかり遅くなってしまいました。
そんな僕が現在遊んでいるのは、3月20日に発売されたばかりの『ゼノブレイドクロス ディフィニティブエディション』です。
10年前は10時間ちょっとプレイしてやめてしまった今作ですが、改めて今遊ぶとめちゃくちゃ面白くて驚いています。
かつて遊んだ時の記憶が全然ないのでアレですが、プレイ時間も順調に10時間は超えましたし、恐らくWii U版で進めたところまでは到達したはずです。
第3章も終わるはずなのですが、キズナクエストを始めてしまったお陰でまだ第4章に入ることができていません。
Nintendo Switchで『ゼノブレイドクロス』を遊び始めたことで、最近は歴代『ゼノブレイド』シリーズの音楽を聴き返したりしています。
改めて聴くと本当に素晴らしいものばかりですし、『ゼノブレイドクロス』のサントラも欲しくなりますね。
『ディフィニティブエディション』版のサントラが出そうな気がするので少し待つつもりではありますが、改めて僕はゲーム音楽が好きなことを実感しましたね。
ということで、今回はかつて遊んだゲームの音楽について。
衝撃を受けるほど面白かった『ゼノブレイド2』の挿入歌『Drifting Soul』について語ります。

『Drifting Soul』は2017年のゲーム『ゼノブレイド2』の挿入歌です。
ゲーム中盤の印象的なイベントシーンにて流れるのですが、その展開があまりにもドラマチックでものすごく印象に残っています。
ゲーム発売前のトレーラーでも使われていた気がしますね。
『ゼノブレイド2』は王道すぎるストーリー展開に魅力的なキャラクターが素晴らしい作品でした。
物語的な盛り上がりも凄かったですし、まるでアニメにおける覚醒シーンが連発されるような印象の展開が続いていました。
そんな中でも主人公たちがピンチに陥る場面はやっぱり胸を締め付けられましたし、ヒロインであるホムラの真の人格であるヒカリが登場する前のイベントムービーでこの『Drifting Soul』が流れていました。
ゲーム内では歌詞をバイオリンに置き換えたインストバージョンもありましたし、続編である『ゼノブレイド3』では戦闘曲としてアレンジされたものが流れました。
これが激アツすぎて感動したのをよく覚えています。
まとめ
こんな感じで、『ゼノブレイド2』の『Drifting Soul』の紹介でした。
ゲーム内でもものすごく印象的な場面で流れていましたし、『ゼノブレイド』シリーズの歌詞付きの曲の中でも本当に大好きな1曲となっています。
また、『ゼノブレイド3』でアレンジバージョンが流れた時は感動を通り越してめちゃくちゃテンションも上がりましたし、改めて『ゼノブレイド』シリーズを好きで良かったと思える楽曲でもありました。
