Use this 🔁 Random Genre Masher 🔁 to come up with a random genre for your next game!
This takes all the tags available on Steam (minus the ones that aren't genre-relevant like "Early Access") and puts two random ones together. With 426 tags, that's over 90000 genre combinations! 🤯
You can choose to mash genres together in a completely random manner or always include one "main" genre (like action, RPG, &c.).
I hope you'll take inspiration from this & make some games with silly genres! ✨

Yes, an option to set number of elements, as well as filtering out tags that are not relevant to you would be great!
Anyway, theme/genre generators can be useful for jams. For long-term projects I just go through my very long list of ideas…
