This community's been quiet for some time!
Anyone else here playing the Buzztime Trivia tour?
What do you think about the new Buzztime site? Anyone been posting on the message boards?
I created a new community, buzztime, after NTN changed to Buzztime. I guess we should migrate over there eventually. LOL

NTN is now Buzztime, and has an excellent new players site at http://players.buzztime.com/
There's all sorts of info available at this site, easier searching mechanisms for players and sites, a message board, and capabilities to review NTN sites.
I guess they're doing away with the NTN name and calling everything Buzztime instead. Maybe I need to create a new LJ group? LOL
Anyway, check out the new site, it's pretty cool. And the message board is hopping. :)

If you're out and about tonight, don't forget to play the NTN Oscars game. If you play all the way through, I believe you stand to win 30,000 P+ points. I'd say that would be worth playing! Sadly I can't play because we have tickets to a concert tonight.

| NTN MANIA!!! |
[17 Jan 2006|07:35pm] |
Hey...
I played last Saturday while watching the New England/Denver game. Poor Pats! =( Around 9 o'clcok ish, there was a repeat game of CountDown. There were sooo many perfect scores that game! ;-)
In between one of the games, one of the tvs I had been playing off of had been switched to Poker, which sorta aggrivated me, but I had another tv to watch it from, so it wasn't that bad. Just really annoying, but the bartender moved the other tv a few inches for me so I could see it better.
regards, chris

Nobody's posted here since September. Shame!
I'm still playing NTN regularly, usually on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays. We did play Playback last Saturday, and one of our players got a top 20 placing - not bad for a premium game.
We also got #3 bar score for last week's Abused News.
And I'm now at over 8m P+ points.

| perfect game |
[22 Sep 2005|01:07am] |
I scored my first perfect game tonight during the countdown after passport.
There is a catch, though.
The game I played was the exact game from last week, question for question, clue for clue. I was playing with 5 other people who were there last week, but apparently I have the better memory out of the group because even though we all recognized the questions, and I had been feeding them the right answers, I still scored 3000 points more than anyone else. Sucks for them, eh?
Anyone else notice a pattern of the exact same games being recycled lately? I know they use the same questions frequently, but this week it seems that every other countown and wipeout game is the exact same as the week before. I'm actually mad at myself that I haven't done better in the past few days, knowing that the questions have been the same as last week.

I stopped going to the main location (that had NTN first) for a couple of weeks, and now that I'm back, it's overrun with butthole poker players. These guys are rude, obnoxious, and one guy is so hostile I think he's gonna hurt somebody. He keeps yelling at people and saying they're on his list, and watching one of those ESPN poker channels and yelling at that. It's not even real money. Guy needs a straightjacket. After Glory Daze and waiting for Mini-Six, I went on and clobbered them just to prove a point ($8,000 in one hand), and I swear the guy was going to rip my eyeballs out. Sore loser. I think I'm going to ask the manager to ban his psycho ass.

We came in 7th, just behind some of bubbaprog's friends who were competing with us in a different bar.
Rematch this Friday!!

Tonight we hope to retain our #1 rank at Abused News. We've had a few other high scoring games recently, but mostly at Countdown, not any of the big games, unfortunately.
We tanked big time at Showdown on Tuesday. Sometimes I wonder why I keep going back to play that game, when I've built a nice score up only to lose half of it on the final question. So frustrating!!
Last night we had a decent game of Six. We recovered admirably after a miserable first round, and I actually got a perfect second round. That's never happened before as I usually manage to get at least two answers mixed up! We finished with four boxes over 40K - not great but respectable.

A friend and I will be visiting Chicago at the end of the month. I already know that Chicago has the best pizza on earth, so that's certainly not an issue. But I believe that the only thing that could be better than eating the best pizza in the world is eating the best pizza in the world at a place that has NTN. I know I could go on the NTN sitefinder and find a place on my own, but if anyone has any good suggestions, I'd love me some recommendations. If you were lost (and possibly naked) in the city of Chicago, where would you go for pizza and NTN?

A very brief commercial once during tonight's games leads me to believe that there will be no more PasTimes on Tuesday, nor Abused News on Friday. It looks like Nightside is replacing a lot of 10pm games. Ugh. Oh well, I'm pretty drunk by then, anyway.
My location scored in the top 20 for Spotlight, though that will change when the Itv1 (DITV) and old-style locations report in, it's just the Itv2 locations that report in fast in time enough for rankings.
