Packing the Bookshelves

Here are some books I plan on having in my kid's bedroom so they could look at them whenever they choose and to incite open discussions:

Where Did I Come From?

What's Happening to Me?

It's So Amazing! A book about eggs, sperm, birth, babies and families

The Period Book

What's going on down there?

It's Perfectly Normal; Changing Bodies, Growing Up, Sex and Sexual Health

What's Happening to My Body? - Girls

What's Happening to My Body? - Boys

I'd have to actually go see them in person.  I would want books with just facts and no moral biases.  The morality part would be part of the "at home discussion".  I would also get the boys and girls ones regardless of the gender of my kid.  The more they know about the opposite sex the better.

Is there anything you would add to the list?

birth control

My daughters will go on birthcontrol the day they start their first period.
I will supply them with whatever form they choose (shot, patch, pills, etc)
I think that if all moms did this for their daughters,
we'd see less PMS
and we'd see a LOT less unwanted preganacys and abortions
I don't care if my daughter is lesbian and plans to always be
Or if she is really set on waiting for marriage
people get raped, etc
it's not a matter of me trusting them, it's a matter of me not trusting men.

They will also learn EVERYTHING about sex and stds from me first
I want it to be a topic they can feel comfordable discussing with adults
