Well, with Accue busy with school and spring break, and (i assume) Klerise probably gonna be gone too? We can't just sit idly by and let Raid Night be ignored. If you want to go, be online Friday at 6pm. I'll start inviting peeps. We'll go to either Strat, Scholo or LBRS (since Accue has our only UBRS key) depending on how many people we get. Unless perhaps Resp or Kandraa have an UBRS key, then we could go there if we have enough people.

Well, finals are almost done here, and I'm going to be taking off for Spring Break soon. I don't know exactly what my schedule will be, so I may not be able to be here for the Friday night raid. I went to AQ20 last night with SHR for the 2nd time. This time we made it to the 2nd boss (last time the raid quit after the 1st boss). The place is pretty fun. The puller dies a lot. The bosses are sheer insanity. I did a bang-up job tanking. Honestly, the more I do it, the better I'm liking it :) I don't think I'll ever prefer tanking to DPSing really.. especially if I can get my hands on some good Fury gear.. but I understand that my role as a warrior in a raid is to tank/offtank and I'm starting to enjoy the challenge of it :) So that's good.

Hey all!

I'm honestly not sure what to do for this Friday's raid, so I'm going to let the masses choose!

I believe the main two choices are ZG or UBRS, but if someone has another instance request, feel free to voice it!

I'd love to attempt ZG, however I'm not sure that we can fill the 20 spots right now. It may need a bit more preplanning (which I would be happy to do, unfortunately my finals are coming up next week, so I've been a bit busy).

That said- Kler and I are attending a ZG raid with Nu Tir this weekend. Perhaps a good idea would be to let us get a handle on how the instance/bosses work, and then we can lead a more prepared raid at a later date. Then we could run an easily successful UBRS raid or whatever to grab a few more set pieces.

I don't mind hitting ZG anyway if ya'll want to try it! The decision rests with you! Vote!

(Also, should I keep posting this here, or in the forums?)

Well, Sunday night I managed to talk a few poor unfortunate souls into going to scholomance, in the hopes that we'd all get leet lewtz, and I'd get my lightforge bracers. :) I'd like to think everyone who came - it was a long process, as we weren't sure exactly where all we were going, and poor Dahiel (the real one) got d/c'ed once and had to sit through the ungodly queue, and then again for bad weather.

Resputan ended up making out like a bandit, with all the cloth drops! I don't think I've ever seen so many blues get d/e'd ... with 5 shards, a few greater eternal essences, and several illusion dusts, it was an enchanters dream. We also met a friend of Resputans, a paladin, who was quite nice - I think she will try and come with us on our Friday raid, if she can! Half of scholo we did with 6, sometimes 7, and at the end 8. Even with 6, we managed pretty good... I feel confident we can do it 5 manning when the new patch comes out.


Other news: we've created us forums at http://deschiado.forumer.com/ Nothing fancy, just a few forums to be able to get us a bit better organized. Livejournal has treated us well, but it'd be nice to be able to keep up loot rules as stickies in a forum, give access to other people as guests to sign up for raids, post up all those roleplay message Raj is fond of, and be able to PM each other when we need something. :)

Well, the run went smoothly for the intermitten problems that occured serverside. Kait, Avandar, Chilli's druid alt, Dahiel's Druid alt and Raj's Hunter alt all went to SFK with positive results. The Fel Steeds dropped a 10-slot bag, Kait won a random world blue drop (Necrology robes, which sell for quite a sum of cash), and the belt of Arugal dropped, which nobody really wanted to claim wholeheartedly. We also got through without any wipes.

Unfortunately, we were plagued by drops from the server. I had my internet connection give out once and got booted once, but I really feel bad for Avandar, who got dropped and had to wait in queue for a goo 20 min if not more to get back in. The Silver Hand was a busy place last night! Arugal managed to slay three of the party, but fortunately we stood strong with two combat rezzes (Poor poor Avandar!) and Arugal was no more! The run took longer than ususal due to all the server problems, but we managed very well! A great job to all!
I've taken a look at our guild levels, and have concluded that a Wailing Caverns run is in order. The Wailing Caverns is in The barrens, and is a 18-24 instance, just like the Deadmines. there are a pair of quests that are open to both the Alliance and the Horde situated just above the entrance.

For this run, I would like to bring my 21 druid along. Sign up to save your slot!

It looks like there are problems with people having 18-24 alts. I wouldn't mind taking 17s, but perhaps we might want to change this one. Would Blackfathom Deeps(24-30) work better? If that is the case, I would eiter bring my rogue or hunter. Both of which are 27. If this is your will, then please note quickly so we can change this and have enough people!

The nonstop nerfs to Warriors will decrease their population a little bit. Freakin' SHR.. I wanted to go to MC this weekend but the Warrior slots were taken within 2 minutes of signups opening :(

And poor me signed up 3 hours after signups.. #3 on the list of standby warriors. Needless to say, I won't be pwnzin Ragnaros today *sadface*

The good news though is that we got DM Tribute done last night. Initially we went in with Klerise, Shadow, Karbynna, Myself and some Inner Fury Resto Druid named Moonisin or something. We wiped like 4 times before even reaching the half way point, at which point the other druid got fed up and left. Ryvius was kind enough to fly out (at 12:30am PST) to help us finish and the entire rest of the raid went smooth as silk. Which just reinforces my belief that instancing with anyone other than PD members is a waste of time :) (3g armor repairs last night ><). Ryvius was rewarded with a very nice blue mail chestpiece with +20 stamina and +1 crit, as well as some other nice stats. I got a Redoubt Cloak O.O which not only is the best non-epic tanking cloak in the game but also looks EFFIN SWEEEET.

So I got my quest for the gauntlets. Now just need to do DM West, then DM Tribute AGAIN *blargs* and I'll be set! And my farkin leggings better drop on the prince this time! :)

Tonight I went with SHR into an AQ20. They wanted to do AQ40 but couldn't get enough people. It was a lot of fun. We only managed to kill the first boss and it took us 2 tries, and 1.5 hours to get to him and all he dropped were some Sand Reaver bracers(i think they were bracers iirc) for Hunters and Shadow Bolt X for Warlocks. When I first zoned in though I had some wierd graphics glitch that changed all the colors on my armor and made me look like a freaky oldass Nelfy guy with sweet black/white hair.

Ever since the announcement of the "Jherith sucks" alt partys, I didn't see much support for the idea. So, I want to see if there is enough interest to do a party for a lower level instance. I would like to do SFK this Saturday at 6:00 PST (9:00 EST/8:00 CST). I curently have a couple of options of who to bring, but I'm wagering on my 26 hunter, Shadowranger.
If I get enough response, then we can create the most balanced groups for all to party with. First come will get priority in the party structure if we get overload.

There are TWO quests for SFK, and they are class specific. One is part of the Paladin quest for Verigan's fist, and the other is a warlock quest as part of the orb of Soran'ruk. If you need to do these quests, or are just looking for some experiance with an alt, here's your chance!

SFK (ShadowFang Keep) is located in Silverpine forest, northwest of Southshore. The boss, Arugal, is highly noted for dropping good caster gear, and a great rogue dagger: the Meteor Shard.

Maybe not. But I did find some gems about doing your part to make things fun for those around you that I think everyone can get some good out of.

Before any drama starts [/puts on administrative hat].. this is not going to be a commentable post, because all I want you to do is read it and consider it, and hopefully, take it to heart. This is not a finger pointing. If you think it is... I direct you to download "You're so vain", and replace "You probably think this song is about you" with "You probably think this post is about you". ;)

All this is is something I stole from Vincent, and agree with heartily. It's a reiteration, in my opinion, of the good old Golden Rule, and I hope that all of us can try to follow this when working with each other and outside the guild with friends or the alliance. [/removes administrative hat]

We are a close knit guild. We take care of each other. We support each other. And we should be glad, even when we sometimes need to take a personal loss, so long as it enriches the group as a whole. This is written from the standpoint of the raiding alliance, but I'm sure all of you can adjust the wording to suit a guild as well.

Please just read it, and take away from it the positive aspects. Don't come away with it feeling like you're being picked on, or you're missing the purpose. You, me, everyone at some point can get 'me-centric'. It happens. The hope is that you will recognize it and try to change it, and will understand that your guild will support you and listen to you if you simply ask for help.

cry_more_noob @ 11:47pm: So, we had a pretty fun night of AB, with a few Dire Maul runs in between to kill some big trees, and to get a belt for Dare. Luckily, on the 5th (I think?) run, it finally dropped!
