Before I started watching this movie for this commentary, I was struck with a sudden realization: in every movie I've reviewed here, I've completely loathed the female playing opposite of Depp. [I refrain from saying 'lead' because Eva Mendes certainly was no lead.] In Sleepy Hollow, it was Katrina, whom I considered mostly shallow and completely unsuited for Ichabod Crane. She was far too much of social gal for the repressed Crane. In From Hell, I totally hated the whore Mary Kelly. I mean, honestly, why did she get to live and not Abberline?? It was a total break from history, in which the opposite happened. For Dead Man... *pause* Well, can't say I hated the girl in that, considering she was not a major role, plus, she didn't last long. My loathing of Ajedrez is acutely obvious, I should think, so moving along.
So after watching this movie, I was pleasantly surprised to find out that, finally, the female lead gets what she deserves. Not only that, but Depp is a psycho writer! Could it get better? Of course..... there's two Johnny's on screen! My fandom slashes, uh, himself?

Unlike the other movies I've done, I actually have a muse from this one. [Hey..rhymage!] For those that have a Sands muse, ya know that he has a comment for just about everything under the sun, between the stars, and below the moon. And he's one snarky lil pretty-bastard. So... would those that read my commentaries like to hear from him as well? [Note: We tend to argue. A lot. ..I actually think he starts these arguments just for his own amusement.]
Concerning my Hessian-Sands fic... *shyly looks down* Um... well... I think I'm going to stick to drabbles. I can do wonderful RolePlays* [I've done 4 comment posts many a time at GJ... and the text limit there is 4,300] and I'm okay at drabbles, but just..not a full-on series. That said, I wish to thank  hannahrorlove for being my beta for the two chapters, and even encouraging the pairing when my mind was blank. I loved the ideas you posted - especially the kinky first one ;) - and I will do my best to incorporate both of those into a short fic somehow.
*Anyone interested in RPing these two together? Just curious.

Despite the encouragement of spoilers, I've decided against it. Why? Because kho and I decided to double team this movie, since we both enjoy it. Similar to what she did with Arizona Dream, I'll be posting a spoiler-less review/ad for the movie, while she will be doing the in-depth analysis of it. I just love it when she gets all wordy about a movie she enjoys ^.^ As this is my second picspam!commentary, and the first with no spoilers, I shall do my best to *not* let something slip.
Oh, and I apologize ahead of time if my caps aren't perfectly the same size. Since this file was downloaded, I can only play it in Windows Media Player to get caps. I'm using PrintScreen, and then cropping the picture. Since it's black and white, it tends to make cropping it from a black BG a bit difficult. But it's not the size of the pic that's important, it's how you use it, right? ;)

I think before I do From Hell [which seems what everyone's wantin' me to do ^.^] I'm going to do piccage of Dead Man. Just because it's such an awesome, subtle, beautiful movie.
Yet here's my dilemna: do I reveal spoils or not? When talking about a movie fully, as I did and will do with SH, I tend to speak about it's entirety, including all the 'spoilers'. I'm not sure, however, if everyone who reads my commentage has seen it.
So any feedback on this question would be great, especially from those that haven't seen it. Spoilers: yes or no?

This is one of my favorite movies, ever! I am a huge Anne Rice fan. I had just finished reading Interview with the Vampire when this was aired on television. I immediately fell in love with it. I doubt I can fit all the scenes I want to in this one post, so there may be several , if that's ok.
