So I got an abundance of gifts this yearrrrr:
The Beast out of the Sea (13726 words) by
YellowtaffetaFandom: Tour of the Merrimack - R. M. MeluchRating: Teen And Up Audiences
Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply
Relationships: Augustus/John Farragut
Additional Tags: Time Travel, To shoot or not to shoot, that is the question, long and rambling, Augustus being unhelpful, just kiss damn it!
Summary: Augustus resists his undeadifying for 8,328 words But John gets his man in the end.</p>
Code 1199 (4264 words) by
mesonyxFandom: Walt Longmire Mysteries - Craig JohnsonRating: General Audiences
Warnings: Creator Chose Not To Use Archive Warnings
Relationships: Walt Longmire/Henry Standing Bear
Additional Tags: Huddling For Warmth, Yuletide 2014, Yuletide Treat, Shippy Gen, Pre-Slash
Summary: There was little chance a trained adult could survive the night outside. “I do not intend to let either of us freeze to death," said Henry.</p>
Both are in character and do an excellent job capturing the original author's voices. 'Code 1199' was like an alternate scene that could have appeared in any one of the snow storms of the Longmire book series and 'The Beast out of the Sea' felt like it was a very plausible alternate history/reset of the universe after the Ninth Circle. THANKS YOU GUYS.
Now here's my offering this year:
I, Augustus (13345 words) by
prettymanlyFandom: Tour of the Merrimack - R. M. MeluchRating: Mature
Warnings: Creator Chose Not To Use Archive Warnings
Relationships: Augustus/John Farragut, Augustus/Julius Caesar Magnus (Merrimack)
Characters: Augustus (Merrimack), John Farragut, José Maria de Cordillera, Julius Caesar Magnus (Merrimack)
Additional Tags: Canon-Typical Violence, Introspection, Space Opera, Science Fiction, Alternate Universe - Canon, Space Battles, Pre-Slash sorta
Summary: A cyborg enjoys use as both computer and soldier, and is programmed with a series of directives for unceasing loyalty to Rome. He may not care much, but the universe thinks otherwise. (Maybe.)</p>
Happy New Year everyone!!
