Interfaith
Centers & Organizations
For more than thirty years, we have studied the growth and development of interfaith initiatives in the United States. While the term "interfaith" is not without limitationsâas is âmultifaithâ or âinterreligiousââhere, it is intended to describe the purposeful interaction across diverse faiths and ethical traditions, providing the context for pluralism. Many of these efforts are local, whether born out of crisis, context, or civic purpose; some focus on dialogue, activism, or education. They are part of an emerging interfaith infrastructure.
Selected Resources
We have curated resources that encourage education and engagement on topics related to pluralism, including: resources for dialogue; a selection of film and video resources; interfaith/multifaith podcasts; and, a range of media sources, from interfaith and faith-based media, to interfaith journals and media organizations.
We also recommend Interfaith Americaâs Pluralism Bibliography as well as the older but excellent resource by Dr. Jennifer Howe Peace, Bibliography for Interfaith and Interreligious Studies.
