This community hosts a poem each weekday (Monday - Friday) and occasionally on the weekends. Most poems are posted with extras – that is, with a note about the poet, or about the form, or about one or more interpretations of the text, or even about the significance of the poem to the person who posts it. Look in this LJ's memories for an archive of poems posted so far.

The community is for those who love to read poetry, and those who love to share poetry. You are not required to post poems if you friend and/or join the community! However, if you see a poem you want to share, please join and sign up to post a poem! Some info about posting:

Posting Rules

Please understand the posting rules before you post. Two of the biggies:

- We want one poem each day, so you must sign up for a day to post a poem, and unless you are the moderator (i.e. me) you can only make a new post on your poem day.

- Spam, pimping for other websites, and pimping/posting your own original poetry is not allowed.

Content Rules

There are also a few content rules, which you also must be aware of before posting.

Again, the biggies:

- We are copyright friendly! I explain exactly what this means here.
- Any kind of poem is welcome, with these exceptions: no song lyrics; no poetry written specifically as prejudicial propaganda; and no original/unpublished poetry
- When you post a poem, post a note along with it to let us know a bit more about the poet, or the poem, or why you chose the poem.
