Canada Summer Jobs Positions
P2C is hiring for summer positions across Canada.
In a world where pollinators are facing ongoing threats like habitat loss, climate change or the spread of invasive species, Pollinator Partnership Canada is working toward a sustainable and equitable world for people and pollinators, with food production, ecosystems and economies thriving.
P2C is looking for enthusiastic and passionate youth to join our team this summer and promote P2C’s programs to audiences across Canada. Our summer Education and Outreach Coordinators will work with team members in Yellowknife, Victoria, Guelph, and Toronto to engage the public and support pollinator conservation. Positions are hybrid, including work-from-home, virtual coworking, and in-person outreach and field activities.
These positions are part of the Canada Summer Jobs initiative and are open to applicants 30 years of age and under that are Canadian citizens or permanent residents. Pollinator Partnership Canada works with diverse stakeholders representing various perspectives with the goal of creating positive change for pollinators. Yellowknife
Location: Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, Canada (Hybrid)
Compensation: $20/hour
Start Date: June 1st, 2026
Duration: 12 weeks (35 hours/week)

Working in the role of Yellowknife Education and Outreach Coordinator, the selected candidate will support our Habitat Stewardship Program work, outreach and education, and conservation efforts in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, Canada. The selected candidate will have opportunities for collaborative virtual and in-person work with Pollinator Partnership Canada staff.
Key tasks include:
- Monitoring and recording plant-pollinator interactions, specifically with bumble bees, around the city of Yellowknife over the summer months and uploading observations to iNaturalist as part of our HSP project Plan Bee North.
- Collecting seed from target native plant species to increase pollinator habitat through our HSP project Wingspan Yellowknife
- Helping with outreach and education, and working with community members during seed collection training workshops
- Creating pollinator outreach materials and resources in collaboration with Indigenous communities to raise awareness about the relationships between bees, pollinators, native plants, and the land.

Victoria (Esquimalt)
Location: Victoria, British Columbia, Canada (Hybrid)

Pollinators are essential to local food security, healthy ecosystems, and cultural well-being. On southern Vancouver Island, native bees and other pollinators are facing continued habitat loss and climate-driven pressures. Pollinator Partnership Canada is working with community partners to safeguard pollinators and support the communities who depend on them.
This position will help advance a project focused on restoring and studying pollinator habitat, including species at risk such as the western bumble bee. The student will work closely with Satinflower Nurseries and Pollinator Partnership Canada to support sustainable local food systems, strengthen community ecological knowledge, and contribute to the vitality of local not-for-profit efforts.
Key responsibilities
• Participate in restoration activities that support pollinator habitat and local food security, including planting, watering, seed collection, and plot maintenance
• Support data collection for plant pollinator interaction studies that inform regional conservation actions
• Assist with native seed processing and nursery work that increases access to culturally and ecologically meaningful native plants
• Contribute to outreach events and educational resources that build community awareness of pollinators and local ecosystems
• Engage with community-based initiatives that connect pollinator health to food security, gardens, and cultural knowledge
• Provide general support to a nonprofit organization including communications, data organization, and coordination with partners

Toronto (Etobicoke)

Working in the role of Education and Outreach Coordinator the successful candidate will provide program support and assist in the development of outreach and educational resources and materials for our collaborative initiative between Bee City Canada and Bees for Peace that focuses on engaging civil society and in particular faith-based communities, in conservation actions.
Key tasks will include:
- Assisting with the development of resources for program faith-based and community audiences focusing on native pollinators, native plants, and local ecosystems.
- Providing program support to Bee City Canada and Bees for Peace.
- Assisting with communication to faith-based communities interested in developing pollinator gardens and pollinator habitats.
- Assisting with faith-based summer camp and club programming to provide activities supporting pollinator conservation education.
- Supporting the creation of social media content for communications and awareness campaigns.
- Supporting Pollinator Week activities, with the possibility of in-person event hosting.
Duties will occur as a mix of independent work remote work, collaborative remote work, and collaborative in-person work. Work at Pollinator Partnership Canada is largely remote, with opportunities for on-site activities during outreach events and some field research visits. The Education Outreach Coordinator will be supervised by the Bee City Canada Manager and Bees for Peace Director. Mentorship and skills development will be provided by the Executive Director.
