Top 10 personality traits:
Conscientious
You feel it's important to work according to a plan and finish every task, to do things correctly and thoroughly.
You are not the kind of person who abandons a project before finishing it, or slacks off when you've lost interest.
Organized
You like to think a task through before you embark on it. If it's the slightest bit complicated, you make a list (even if it's only in your mind) and methodically work your way through it. When you have a goal in mind, you're not satisfied until you reach it.
You are not one of those people who ignore the details, and you don't understand how anyone can get anything accomplished without thoughtful planning ahead of time.
Assertive
You behave in a confident and forceful manner, take charge of the situation, raise your hand in class, stand up for what you think is right, and lead others. Among those who have a high score on the "assertive" trait, many have jobs in which they are valued for their organizational skills as well as their talent for supervising others.
You are not interested in fading into the woodwork, leaving everything to fate, taking more time than necessary to accomplish a task, or avoiding confrontation.
Focused
You know how to lock in on what's important. You quickly prepare yourself for a task, you don't procrastinate, and you don't let up until the job is done to your satisfaction.
You are the opposite of scattered. You don't procrastinate before starting a task, and you almost never lose track of what you're doing.
Centered
You often feel balanced and on top of things, even when those around you are freaking out. You're in a pretty good state all the time, and not subject to drastic mood swings.
You don't usually react before you think; you're not ruled by your emotions.
Astute
You are a quick study. You generally don't need to have things explained to you more than once. When presented with a problem, you will often have an instant understanding of where to look for the solution.
You do not take your sweet time when presented with a new task to complete or problem to solve. You don't avoid assignments that require you to learn new skills.
Intellectual
You are thoughtful, rational, and comfortable in the world of ideas. People find you interesting to talk to. You're the living embodiment of the saying "You learn something new every day." In general, those with a high score on the "intellectual" trait are employed in such fields as teaching and research, and are enthusiastic about reading, foreign films, and classical music.
You do not avoid abstract conversation, experimenting with new ideas, or studying new things. It bores you to stick to the straight and narrow of what you already know.
Resilient
You bounce back quickly from adversity. For you, all setbacks are temporary. You don't dwell on bad news, bad luck, or criticism; you regroup and focus on solving the problem, whatever it may be.
You almost never feel that there's too much on your plate, that you don't have the strength to deal with the bad hand you've been dealt, or that you're going to lose it if you have to deal with one more problem.
Efficient
You are very well organized, even a bit anal. You like to stick to your plans and finish on deadline, wasting as little time as possible in the process.
You are not comfortable when things do not go according to plan, nor are you a procrastinator. You don't waste time when you can be getting down to business.
Responsible
You fulfill your obligations and responsibilities, are true to your word, and generally obey the rules. While the majority of those who have a high score on the "responsible" trait enjoy traveling, they are usually very happy to return home — and don’t mind staying put for a while.
You're opposed to making hasty decisions, you don't insist that you're above the rules, nor do you feel compelled to color outside the lines.
I feel like this is pretty totally spot on.

Oh man, I feel awful today.
There is somthing going around and I definitely have it... which is really not good this week. I have a jam packed week with way too much to do to deal with being sick. I have a Willard case due and a Radiology exam. Then I have a small animal medicine exam with Willard questions on Monday.
I cannot stop yawning in class today and it's mostly an attempt to equalize the pressure in my head. My nose is stuffy, my ears are stuffy, I feel like my head is thick. My throat is sore and there are visible pustules on the back of my throat. I have a low grade fever (somewehre between 99.0 and 99.5.) I was going to start some antibiotics I have at lunch time, but I left them at home so I'm going to start them with dinner. (My doctor gave me a full course of antibiotics to use when I needed them.)

Dear Neighbor

Please stop being a heinous bitch. That would be most excellent. I understand that you're in a kind of bitter place in your life and that you're generally kind of angry about this apartment complex. (I would be pissed too if I had a sink that leaks at least once a week.) However, please stop taking this bitterness out on me. I understand that Fiona has seperation anxiety and that she barks to some extent when I'm gone. I've had to rely on your word for how much this is, but even before I knew my general feeling was that if you're living in an apartment complex there's a certain amount of stuff that doesn't end up just how you want it. That's just how it is. (I mean, I don't like that dog that barks at Fiona every time we go on a walk, or whoever it is who throws their cigarette butts into the area we walk, or that kid who plays basketball in the alley behind the apartments but I'm not going to complain!)
Today, I locked Fiona up and set up an audio recorder to see what's really going on. And it's somewhere between as bad as you're saying ("going crazy all day") and you just making it up (which was a possibility because nobody else has heard her bark despite trying.) The battery ran out after a little more than 3 hours. She was quiet for about 10 minutes. She barked a lot for about 20 minutes. She was quiet but very active in her cage for 10 minutes. Then she did some kind of intermittent barking for 49 minutes with quiet stretches of up to 10 minutes where barking could be once in a minute or up to about 20 barks in a minute. For the last hour and a half or so of the recording, she barked 4 times. Not like, 4 minutes but literally 4 noises and she slept for 80 of the 90 minutes.
I think you need to just suck it up, for real. Buy some ear plugs.
Or go back to France. I'm crossing my fingers that you get deported in November!
PS- Do you work at the Sock? Because I just don't see how you're getting home at 4AM from working at Victoria's Secret... Also, what happened to going to school?

30 Day Meme- Day 13, 14, 15
Jan. 27th, 2011 | 11:04 am
Day 13 - Somewhere you’d like to move or visit.
I don't know where I want to move! Our plan is to have Nate find a job somewhere (though, NOT in the Midwest/corn-belt type states.) and then I'll find a job in the same city.
Visit wise, there's lots of places I'd like to go! Too many to list.
Day 14 - Your earliest memory.
I have bits and pieces from early childhood. I imagine the earliest is sometime in Ohio. I remember digging in the snow in Ohio.
Day 15 - Your favorite tumblrs.

30 Day Meme- Days 10, 11, 12
Jan. 24th, 2011 | 11:05 am
Day 10 - Discuss your first love and first kiss.
Well, my first kiss was in high school and not really anything special. My first love was probably Mark in college. We were together so long. Though, I will say that how I felt about Mark even at our best never compared to how I feel about Nate.
Day 11 - Put your ipod on shuffle and write 10 songs that pop up.
Can't. I'm sitting in class. :)
Day 12 - Bullet your whole day.
-get up at 8:15
-feed the cats
-walk the dogs
-get ready for school
-see Nate off
-work on Animal Behavior project before class
-Animal Behavior class (talked about aggression)
-SCAVMA EC Officer questions meeting at lunch in Critical Care Cafe
-Small Animal Medicine (dermatology... gross... itchy animal skin.)
-go home and internet for a while
-type notes
-go to ashley's for dinner and study time
-work on willard case: willard hasn't sent it out yet
-talk to nate
-bed around 11:30

30 Day Meme- Days 8 and 9
Jan. 21st, 2011 | 09:24 am
Day 08 - A moment you felt the most satisfied with your life.
I'm not sure satisfied is really the right word. I've been satisfied that everything is on track for what I want and I have been satisfied with certain decisions that I've made. But I wouldn't say that I am overall satisfied with my life. I would go with "thrilled and expectant" instead! I'm thrilled with how everything is going! I can't wait to get married (and set up a home with Nate); I can't wait to graduate from vet school and actually get to put all this hard work.
Day 09 - How you hope your future will be like.
I feel like I've already answered this question? Wasn't there a "where do you see yourself in 10 years?" question? Either way, I hope my future will be full of happiness and family and friends.

Day 07 - Your zodiac sign and if you think it fits your personality.
I'm a Leo. Sometimes I think it fits and sometimes I think it doesn't. I am very driven, which is a Leo trait... but I'm not a social butterfly and I don't crave the spot light.

30 day meme- day 6
Jan. 18th, 2011 | 02:02 pm
Day 06 - Write 30 interesting facts about yourself.
This is hard! I can come up with 30 facts, but how interesting they are is up for debate.
1. The only thing I ever wanted to be besides a veterinarian was a dolphin trainer. This was after a trip to Sea World when I was 6.
2. I really love doing scientific research.
3. I tell myself nearly every day that just because I don't agree with Dr. Willard's medicine cases doesn't mean I will be a bad veteriarian. Even when he writes in the keys that if you do x you will be a bad veterinarian (though, I didn't actually have any of those things in my case this time.. I just hate that he writes that!)
4. I have very definite opinions about educational strategies/techniques/philosophies and vet school often does not meet them.
5. I really enjoy cooking and while I like Worst Chefs in America, I don't understand how people can be that bad at cooking. It is not htat hard to follow a recipe!
6. I would like to grow up to be like Dr. Barton, except minus the horrible life experiences like finding her best friend dead due to complications of getting bitten by a dog when you don't have a spleen.
7. I'm getting married on September 17, 2011!!!!!!! (We wanted September 24, 2011, which would be our 3 year anniversary of starting dating, but vet school won't let that happen.)
8. I will be a licensed veterinarian in 16 months! How awesome and scary is that?
9. I watch way too much TV, and I love it. I appreciate everything my TiVo does for me!
10. The show Gold Rush (on Discovery) is super interesting but also makes me desperately anxious. Those guys have so much on the line and are risking so much that I really, really, really don't want to see them fail.
11. I find it really obnoxious when people expect silence in apartment complexes. What's up with that?
12. I have gotten progressively more girly as I've gotten older. I have started incorporating pink into my wardrobe a lot lately.
13. Even though the animal behaviorist at school says that cats don't actually get attached to their people, I think my cats love me.
14. I hate the Humane Society of the United States. They are not a sheltering organization, less than 1% of the money they get from donors goes to direct animal care, most goes to paying their salaries or to anti-agriculture/anti-pet legislation.
15. This is harder to do than I thought.
16. I grew up in Waco, TX. This often earned me comments about Branch Davidians when I was in high school. I would tell people that I missed "Uncle David."
17. I am enjoying the wedding planning process, and while I've got a lot done, I have lots of things left to do that I am not particularly interested in! I did all the stuff I'm excited about first.
18. I am really excited about my wedding, the party, but there are some things about it I am really nervous about.
19. I am not at all nervous about the prospect of being married.
20. I am ready for all the major milestones that I have coming up soon to actually go ahead and happen! I'm ready to move on to the next step!
21. I give up early!
