Australian Prime Minister Vows to Fight Marriage Equality
Prime Minister Kevin Rudd of Australia has made hypocritical statements regarding same-sex marriage. He maintains his party "respects" same-sex couples, but still vows to fight against their right to marry.

Take action by contacting the Prime Minister and urging him to support marriage rights for gay, lesbian, bisexual couples.

Each year the AVCC Common Non-Teaching Week in July, Queer Australian students attend QC to discuss issues relevant to them, exchange information and contacts, have a good time, and generally share in the experience of being queer. URGENT ISSUE



Hey guys

.

The Senate committee into the marriage amendment act is accepting submissions from the public in order to compile a report for the PM on australian attitudes which will then be used as basis for policies.

Submissions are due by Fri 30 July. THIS FRIDAY.

Having contacts inside I can tell you that there have so far been 2000+ submissions AGAINST amending the act to allow same sex couples to marry and less than 20 supporting an amendment. Unless you want this hugely biased report compiled then spread the word and pump out those submissions. Don't let the haters win.
