| Rules - General |
| ♥ Rage Beat is a 1st person RPG, meaning that accepted members shall create a journal for their character in their character's name, and post in that journal as their character. |
| ♥ Original Characters (OCs) are permitted. However, if you are applying for adding an original character, a 200+ word biography on that character must be submitted with your application. You must still fill out the information listed under "Acceptance". In your biography, discuss your character, such as what he/she does for a living, his/her birthplace, etc. Be creative! |
| ♥ Please direct any and all questions to the moderator. |

| Rules - Members |
| ♥ All members must have a valid AOL Instant Messenger account to keep in contact with the moderators and other community members. Trillian and similar alternative instant messenger services are accepted, so long as you are capable of talking on AOL Instant Messenger with it. |
| ♥ Members are allowed to LRP (live roleplay) via AOL Instant Messenger, but all RP logs must be organized and placed under an LJ-cut when posted in the Rage Beat community. |
| ♥ Members may RP more than one character. However, that member must be capable of giving attention to both/all of their characters. If the member is deemed incapable of RPing a given amount of characters, a moderator or co-moderator may contact the member regarding their situation and take action based on this. |
| ♥ After prolonged inactivity, a moderator or co-moderator will speak to the inactive RPer to determine the reasoning behind their absence. Action will be taken as necessary. After this point, dismissal is unlikely, but possible. |
| ♥ Members are urged to comment on IC posts frequently, as it helps keep the journals active and entertaining. Please keep in mind character status and location when commenting in IC mode! |
| ♥ Members cannot be dismissed from Rage Beat and Rage Beat OOC without at least 2/3 approval from the moderator and/or co-moderators. If only 1/3 approval is obtained between the moderator or co-moderators, dismissal can only be approved with a majority approval vote by community members. Community members may request that another member be removed by contacting the moderator. This rule will be rarely referred to, but is necessary in the event that someone needs to be removed. |

♥  ragebeatrp: This community is intended specifically for RP logs, as well as other things that are closely related to the RP. Secrets between characters may be placed here, too. |
| ♥ ragebeatooc: OOC posts are to be placed into this community. All OOC posts must pertain to the Rage Beat community or its members. Memes, surveys, and other miscellaneous things are discouraged, and can be deleted by a moderator or co-moderator if deemed unapproved. Rage Beat OOC is for members to discuss plot ideas or community situations. Occasional deviations are permitted. |

| ♥ Guests are welcome to comment in RP journals (and are encouraged to!), but are asked not to comment on posts made at the Rage Beat nor Rage Beat OOC communities. |
| ♥ Guests that are under an account made specifically for another RP community are asked to make their comments in OOC mode (and label them as OOC). This will avoid confusion among members and readers alike. |
