And put your things like so:
Title: would go here, if you have one,
Artist: this is probably you, though it might be Sting or your little brother or whomever you have explicit permission from.
Subject: a most important category! You don't have to tell us that it is Anderson Cooper eating ice cream in cutoffs in Central Park with a squirrel in the background- just telling us that it is Anderson Cooper on a summer day will do nicely.
Rating: also very important! Not everyone got their 'don't browse livejournal at work' badge in girlscouts, so it is a very good idea to let people know what they're in for. Even if it's mostly harmless and too tame for Disney, please say so!
Disclaimer: Much like in other fanwork communities, you simply must disclaim. It's hard to make a coverall, since not everything that's going to be posted here will be from the same corporations, but I've borrowed the one that, thanks to
timebound graces several other profiles.
Any similarity between the fictional version of the person portrayed here and the actual persons is purely coincidental. This is a work of fiction. This is not an attempt to defame the character of said person on the basis of libel, as the work is FICTIONAL (and NOT an intently false statement created with the express purpose of misleading others about the actual character of said person).
Any mention of [HERE THERE BE CORPORATION NAMES], any associated entites, or any copyrighted material pertaining therein is reasonably protected by the Fair Use Rule of the United States Copyright Act of 1976 and is not intended to infringe upon any copyrighted material. You may find yourself inserting CNN, Time Warner, MSNBC, NBC Universal, Microsoft, ESPN, Fox News Channel, NewsCorp, ABC News or even Channel One into the section for relevant corporations. While we'll try and help anyone who is unsure which companies own the souls of their subjects, you really must put a real disclaimer not general 'If I owned so-and-so he would be in my basement! :D'
Even if that's true, that's not technically a disclaimer and we'd hate for anyone to have a chance of getting into trouble for
drawing fanart of all things.
A cut. You can actually place the cut before or after the disclaimer, so long as it's after the rating and before your big, beautiful, picture, it don't make me no nevermind. You do a cut like this:
<lj-cut text="Teaser text of your choice!"> And if you want to have whatever you say after the picture to be visible on the main page? </lj-cut> does the trick!
Your Picture!Yay! Now, since this is a demo, I have no picture, but you would have one and here is where you put the whole img scr business.
That's it!
