Your chapter name will follow this official naming convention:

[Insert University Name} — SEG Student Chapter

Use the SEG logo the right way from the start.

The Student Toolkit includes all the logos you need as well as a simple guide to help you use the logo with confidence. The most important rules to to follow are the spacing guidelines so that the SEG logo stands out clearly in all your communications.

Important: No independent rebranding of SEG.

Student Chapter Logos 
Your chapter can request a custom logo.
In order to keep the SEG brand instantly recognizable around the world, we ask that you do not create your own logo. Our team is happy to create one for you with a quick turnaround.

Social Media
Social media is an important form of communication. It is vitally important that all student chapter social media communications comply with SEG’s Social Media Policy.

The Policy will inform you of:

  • General Social Media Principles
  • Page Posting Guidelines


Important: Officially-sanctioned Student Chapters do not require approval from SEG before using social media. Student Chapters are allowed to create, administer, and implement social-media accounts without prior approval.

Important: SEG’s goal with respect to social media is to ensure that its communications in all social media channels are as consistent, accurate, timely, fair, constructive, respectful, informative, and mission-advancing across all platforms as possible. Misuse of social media by SEG or its members can have a detrimental impact on our organization.
