Shear Genius

So, last week I watched the premiere of Tabatha's Salon Takeover and I loved it! I was excited to watch it tonight at 10 when it would come on... but my boyfriend told me he had already seen it.

He even recorded it with the Tivo! I didn't believe him until I saw it. But it appears Bravo showed the episode at midnight! I think it was a mistake... did anyone else notice? :)

I really dislike the final three, for various reasons. I couldn't care who wins.  I am hoping there will be some sort of freakish twist that somehow brings Paulo back to win!

We could make a drinking game. Take a drink each time Dee talks about wetting herself or worse and then another when Charlie says "girls" including himself and excluding Dee. Oh, look, a sip of my Big Gulp already because Charlie said "girls."

At least we won't have to see that washed out badly combed Kelly Atterton any more  I miss Sally Hershberger!

P aolo was my absolute favorite; not because of his haircuts, but just him.  Daniel is my second choice. If Daniel goes home tonight, there's no point in watching.

Oh, and take note, sponsors.  Dee would make a great sponsor for Depends because all she talks about is peeing or worse in her pants, usually a half a beat before yelling Charlie has no class.

Who do you like the most? I'm rooting for Dee.

I hadn't been able to watch TV much lately and realized that a new season of Shear Genius started last week.  I am a bit busy this time around, and if y'all want to keep the community going, I need a volunteer to become a second admin.

Today I visited Lana, my uber-fabulous hairdresser who, I might add, is the only person that's ever touched my hair with bleach and/or color in my entire life. She's the only one I trust, and she's BRILLIANT.

Anyway, back to the story.

I asked Lana if she watched Shear Genius on Bravo. Not only did she watch it, but she used to work at Joico with Anthony & Tabatha (Anthony & Tab are even listed as "guest artists" on Joico's website here) - and trained with Tyson at the Pureology brand training seminars. She says Tyson was nice but "a little weird," that Tabatha really is a hateful bitch, and that Anthony is really sweet but thinks he's hot shit because he trained under Vidal Sassoon and went to the best schools in Europe. Anthony & Tabatha apparently have worked together for YEARS, and Tabatha "brings out the worst in him." Also, she nearly auditioned! My Lana, my wonderful hairdresser, could have been on Shear Genius! How awesome is that?

Stayed up last night to watch the finale of “Shear Genius.” I'm kind of glad Anthony won. While all three finalists deserved to be there, Anthony was definitely the overall best.
Ben's updo looked a mess and he hadn't been exactly consistent during the competition.
While Daisy had been consistent, certain aspects of her behavior were not exactly professional---like cussing when she dropped the container of hair coloring and then picking it up off the floor and using it anyway.
Anthony was not only professional both in attitude and behavior, his cuts and colors at last night's final competition were truly beautiful.
How awesome to meet living legend, Vidal Sassoon, one of the judges. I've always liked his Nancy Kwan bob-which the stylists were supposed to recreate. None of them did a completely accurate replica, but of the three, Anthony came closest.

I love watching Shear Genius and I'm glad I finally found this community. Too bad I didn't find it until now.
I like all four of the remaining folks. They all have great personalities and are very talented, too.
I'm thinking it'll be Daisy and Anthony in the final two.

Now, does anyone know about the fashion some of these stylists sported? I'd -love- to know more about Tyson's jacket w/the pattern on back and Tabatha's clothes in the last two eps.
