for the first time today, us pitlings got to go outside and stand in the deadly heat for 2 hours. haha 15 minutes outside and we started to melt. at least i did. looking at tiffany made me sweat even more. thank god for the cement walls =].
im not tough enough to handle marching!

It's the annual typing-outage of all my counts!!!
So everytime I type a dash (-) it's a count that I don't play on. If I play right on the count, I will type the number of the count. If I play a 8th or 16th note within a count I will type a dash to represent the count and then "e" "+" and/or "a" Quarter note triplets will be typed out as "1 trip le 3 trip le", 8th note triples are "1 triple 2 triple etc.." 16th note triplets are typed as "1triple +triple 2triple +triple etc..." and x is a rimshot and 5lets are "hip po pot o mus"
And yes, I will be memorizing all of this. This is actually how I help myself memorize... by writing out my counts like this in the middle of classes to test myself haha.
