Oh hai. Most of my journal is tightly friends-locked for various reasons. However, I'm always up for meeting new folks, especially if you're into: The Police, Stewart Copeland, Foo Fighters, bandfic, fandom meta, drummers, cranky old fannish dinosaur bitching and other assorted weirdness. Please note that while I may mention ships that I like, I am equally fond of gen as well as shippy fic, especially for this exchange! I also would really enjoy any art gifts despite the fact that I find it a lot harder to give specific prompts when it comes to art. (Really, any kind of art would make me so happy because there is typically so little of it out there for my fandoms/fave characters.)

Thank you for offering to write or draw one of my requests! I'd be equally happy to receive any of these as I tend to be into some more unusual/rarer relationships and pairings that don't get nearly enough love. So let's get started...

General Likes:

• Casefic, whether in the background of a relationship story or as the main focus of a gen fic.
• Romance and relationships through the years: couples growing old together, reflections on how time changes people and their views on what they want from life.
• Hurt/comfort (especially emotional h/c) as long as there is lots of comforting and it’s not just a whump!fic).
• Sexy fun that isn’t all about penetration—I love frot, oral sex, extended kissing scenes, characters so turned on by each other that they can hardly last beyond some sensual touching, erotic massage, etc.
• Stories that make good use of the city/environment in which they are set and that somehow make them unique (ie, SVU and New York City, ER and Chicago...)
• In art I love pretty much all styles, since there is so little (if any) art for my favorite ships. So it's really hard for me to give art-specific prompts beyond anything that would be illustrative of one of the prompts I've already given.

General Do Not Wants:

• Pregnancy/kidfic. Except for the two ships I've made exceptions for below, I'd prefer stories not focused on parenting/kids.
• Infidelity/cheating—including as part of a case fic, or a character (incorrectly) suspecting their partner of cheating.
• Public humiliation/embarrassment.
• BDSM beyond the playful use of restraints, sensory denial, or spanking (unless specifically requested for certain ships where I could totally see and want it rougher). Other kink-related DNWs: bloodplay, watersports, scat.
• Unrequested AUs (high school, coffee shop, mundane, etc.) There are some characters/ships I wouldn't mind specific AUs for, in which case I've mentioned them below.

Law & Order SVU

In general I am much more of a fan of the early years/“1.0” version of the show, although I have been enjoying recent episodes since Peter Stone came on board as the new ADA (I was a huge fan of Chicago Justice.)

John Munch/Odafin "Fin" Tutuola

I hate saying “anything”, but really, with these two, I honestly love pretty much any kind of story. I ship them like crazy but I also absolutely enjoy gen stories that focus on their friendship/partnership without any romantic/sexual elements, if you’re more comfortable or into that.

I definitely would love a story with some kind of hurt/comfort element, as that’s something I haven’t read or seen a lot of with these two. It could anything from one simply caring for the other while ill, to getting through a major life-or-death situation together. Similarly, presumed-dead (but not really) is one of my bulletproof tropes that I’d love to read with them. Feel free to pile on the angst, as long as there’s a happy ending.

I'd also be interested in reading the soulmate trope explored in some way for these two, as they just seem like such an impossible-yet-perfect-pairing for each other.

Brian Cassidy/John Munch

Anything silly or funny/sexy would be great with these two. I love Brian as the total noob in season one. Alternatively I'd like to know more about Brian working for the District Attorney's office as a Special Investigator alongside Munch...did the chance to reconnect after all this time lead to rekindling an old affair, or maybe finally acting on feelings after all this time?

Peter Stone/Original Male Character

Peter reconnects with an old flame after moving to New York City? Maybe someone he dated in his law school years, or while he was in baseball. I love Peter Stone as a character and would enjoy some emotional hurt/comfort as he deals with the loss of his father and then his sister all over the course of one year's time.

Homicide: Life on the Street

Mike Kellerman/John Munch
It gets to me how, at this point, there have been so many times when John has just escaped being shot/being in a terrible shootout (first during the warrant-serve when Gordon Pratt shot Kay, Beau and Stan; then when he and Mike are leaving the hotel and Mike gets clipped in “Blood Ties”; in "Fallen Heroes" when he’s at the Waterfront with Billy Lou while the entire squadroom is being shot up by Junior Bunk.) I mean, that’s got to be fucking with his head. I’d love a story where John & Mike stay in contact after Mike leaves the force and they open up to each other about their personal shit—Mike and his suicidal thoughts and shooting Luther, maybe John confesses to killing Pratt so he understands entirely that need for revenge, being pushed to your limits. It could also be set a few years into the future when John has moved to New York, their paths cross again and all those old, haunting memories come back. And it seems like they're the only people who can understand what they each have been through.

Mike Kellerman/Meldrick Lewis
Anything after the boat scene. What if they stayed on the boat instead of Meldrick taking Mike out to the bar, and continue to open up to each other? What if in the aftermath Meldrick realizes how much Mike means to him and how he can't lose another partner?

I just got into this show seriously for the first time this year (thanks to Hulu streaming the entire series). Note that as of the writing of this letter I'm just at the end of season 6, so I'd prefer no big spoilers for what might happen later on.

I love mentor/student relationships so of course this one pushes all my buttons. Give me anything where Benton opens up and shows a little unexpected tenderness (and admiration) for John; hurt/comfort; a soulmate AU; or maybe a future AU where they've gotten together and are raising Reese together? (This is one exception I have for my general no-kidfic rule.) Also would love h/c after John's stabbing and maybe an alternative take on his recovery, where Peter is there for him and keeps him from spiraling down.

Mark Greene/Doug Ross

Swear to God I just want to shake these two and tell them they need to get it on already. (I am not a big fan of Carol and Carol/Doug, so please feel free to AU that they never get back together again.) Maybe something finally happens on that big road trip after Doug's father dies?

Crossover Fandoms
Methos (Highlander)/John Munch (Homicide: Life on the Street)
I have to think the snark and sass with these two would just be too delicious! I’d love a story where somehow they cross paths and John discovers Methos’ immortality and learns about the Watchers, the Game, etc. I’m sure John would be going mad to find out a lot of the secrets of past history (and conspiracies!) that Methos must know about. (Maybe John becomes a Watcher himself?) Or maybe Munch is an Immortal as well…that would certainly explain why and how he seems to show up in so many different canon universes, wouldn’t it? (Feel free to go with either Baltimore Homicide or New York SVU-era Munch here, honestly, I’m well-versed in both universes.)

Joe Dawson (Highlander)/John Munch (Homicide: Life on the Street)
What if Munch has secretly been a Watcher all these years, and the two meet up to share stories and misadventures? Otherwise a story where John first learns about Immortals and The Game, somehow via Joe. Maybe Munch ends up in Joe’s club and they bond over the joys and sorrows of running a bar…(I’m good with either SVU or Homicide-era Munch here.)

Lucifer (Lucifer TV)/The Devil (Brimstone)
My two favorite media devils…crossing paths in some interdimensional space between universes? Comparing notes, dishing on similar parental troubles, etc? I feel like there are similarities between how Hell supposedly works in these two universes, so it could be intriguing.

Marcus Keane (The Exorcist)/Ezekiel Stone (Brimstone)
They’re both demon hunters, in their own way, and dealing with their own personal demons, too. I’d love to see them working together to bring down a demon - maybe one of the 113 escapees has teamed up with an integrated demon? (Or could an integrated demon possess an escaped soul, leading to even stronger combined powers of mayhem?)

Lucifer (Lucifer TV)/Marcus Keane (The Exorcist)
What does Marcus Keane really want? How would he react to coming face-to-face with the devil, and he’s not at all who or what Marcus was expecting? What if a possessed individual is causing trouble at Lux/in LA and only an exorcist can help?

Given that Munch is (supposedly) still working as a Special Investigator for the DA's office, I'm curious to see how he'd get along with their new ADA. Would Peter turn to John for all sorts of advice and "insider" information about his new "co-workers" at SVU? Would John try to help smooth things over between Stone and Cassidy after Cassidy's screw-up in "Chasing Demons"? Any kind of friendship fic here would be great, including perhaps John trying to move things along between Peter and Olivia, given my new big ship on this show is...

Peter Stone/Olivia Benson

I was completely unprepared to ship these two, I haven't even been a fan of Benson as a character at ALL in recent seasons, and yet? Here I am. By GOD these two have chemistry I wasn't expecting and I think it's because Peter brings out something in Olivia we haven't seen in a long time. I dig the dynamic of the younger man/older woman here, plus I think Peter would be a GREAT father-figure for Noah. I'd enjoy something sweet along those lines—maybe going out to the ball game together (or Peter coaching Noah). Or go for broke on the Liv/Peter smut, maybe with a little femdom edge to it.

Really anything here would delight me, maybe something set around the events of “Life Line”, when the Doctor is at Jupiter Station?

A few general notes:

• I have some shippy prompts/notes on who I ship, but I also love good gen or art, too. (My gen prompts are definitely NOT gen “outs”.) In fact in a few of these fandoms I'm definitely more interested in gen or don't have any strong ship preferences, as noted.
• While a lot of my prompts here are on a spooky/dark/trick theme, I would love some fluffy/smutty/romantic “treats” for these characters, too.

Dear Author,

Thanks for offering to write one of my requested fandoms and characters for this exchange! This is my first time doing the ToT Exchange so I hope this letter isn’t too overlong or detailed with my prompts. I just wanted to throw out a variety of ideas and prompts that could work for either a short ficlet or perhaps something longer if you do feel so inspired.

Please note that I will be extremely happy to receive anything for any one of these requests, whether or not I have a lot of specific prompts or details for them or not. Some fandoms I would be overjoyed with anything that’s in line with my general likes (and honoring my DNWs); others I simply have a lot more specific prompts to scratch specific mental itches in my head.

I’d be equally happy with “tricks” or “treats” for any of these fandoms and have tried to include some vague or specific prompts for each when I can, but don’t feel bound to my prompts if you have another idea in mind that would work for my requested characters. I’ve also tried to talk a little bit about what I like specifically about each requested fandom, if that’s helpful, including favorite episodes, references, time periods, what-have-you.
