Gross story involving bodily functions! If you don't have kids, you probably don't want to look. . . It will make you happy you don't have them. If you have them, it's just another day. . .

When Bekah woke up this morning, I gave her a bath. Her diaper looked a little soggy but I figured I could just pop her in the tub, no worries. When I took her diaper off. . . it was full of NEON BLUE poop. I screamed and almost ran away! Bekah rolled her eyes at me. I was tempted for a moment to take her to the ER. Then I stopped and thought about what she ate yesterday. Yes, I fed her way too many dried blueberries. It was disgusting and cool at the same time. =)

This weekend there was a random sale at the mall and I am now the proud owner of a mix of clothes from Wet Seal, Hot Topic, and. . .the Gap. I am not allowed to buy things at the Gap but their jeans fit me better than any have in years, and I was told to go there by a girl from Hot Topic. =) So it's goth/fifties/Hawaii style for me. I forgot to buy accesories, though.

I have never had a clothing style so this is kind of fun. Maybe I'll take the plunge and get my nails done and get a hair style. That would be WEIRD. NAH.

This entry. . . was pointless. Sorry.

Love!

Yah, yah, I know. . . two LJ entries within an hour of each other is a sign of LJ addictedness. . . I'm an addict. . . BUT! I forgot I was going to do a Bekah entry.

Bekah discovered dancing! Yesterday she made me dance with her for two hours straight. She dances hardcore!Every time I wanted to take a break or get a drink, she would grab my hands and make me keep dancing. I love it when she dances, because her eyes SPARKLE and I get a glimpse of her, I think, twenty years in the future when she's STILL dancing. . . It fulfills her in some way that few other things in her short life have done.

So I'm thinking about buying her a leotard and one of those floofy skirts so she can twirl and bop to her heart's content in her room all day. Maybe I'll decorate her room all pinkish and put up a barre so she can hold on to it while she does her little contortions. . . AHHHHHH! THE CUTENESS!

The ironic thing is I am such not a girly-girl. I do not know where she gets this from.

Ooh! I love how she hip-hop dances and claps while listening to classical music.

So! I haven't updated (or commented either, sorry. . . =() for a long time because our modem was broken for like a week! I'm almost caught up on reading everyone's life stories though and I'm sorry I missed them; they are very read-worthy.
I am rereading 1984. I LOVE that book. Hopefully I can con Summer into reading it before she goes home. Speaking of which, Summer (Baz's sister) and Terry (Baz's mom) are here in Hawaii! Life is very interesting with 5 people in a two bedroom house, but we're surviving.
I almost had to hire a lawyer today but thankfully it wasn't necessary. The lawyer I wanted required a $3000.00 retaining fee plus $200.00 an hour. She refused the case because she said there was no way I could win. I'm not buying that; I will win, or I will at least put up a decent fight.
The Fourth of July fireworks at Baz's work were so pretty and I got to watch them with him this year. Yesterday the boy bought me a book of French love poems and I am going to read them to him while. . . never mind, but it was the cutest present ever.
Here is a French love quote for you:

"Les femmes vraiment belles sont faites pour les amants qui manquent d'imagination." - Maupassant

What does it mean? "The most beautiful women are made for lovers who lack imagination."

Adios!

TO EVERYTHING. When it comes to Rebekah, anyway.=)

Today we bought lots of stuff to make the house look prettier/run better/have less bugs.Woohoo!

Jenn, I'm feeling a little better, so hopefully we can take Maleiah and Bekah to the park tomorrow.

Yay for a boring life! It's fun for me, but not good for livejournal. . .

Have a spiffy day!

Current Music: song from weird game Baz is playing
When I was little, my mom ran a daycare in our home. Okay, I was little-ish, six or seven.

This daycare was probably the closest thing to a utopian communist society that will ever happen. =)

There were the beautiful kids: Katherine, Maria, Madalyn the little princess, her little sister Hannah.
There were the normal-ish kids: me, Philip and MIchael (adorable brothers).
Then there were the cool kids: my brother David (has Downs Syndrome), this boy Nathan who was autistic, but drew a car with crayons when he was to years old, Rachel, a BEAUTIFUL girl who had speech problems or something.

WE ALL LIKED EACH OTHER MOST OF THE TIME. The big kids helped the little kids do stuff. We all had our place and everyone felt needed and wanted. People respected other people's gifts and their weird habits. Everyone was included when things happened, unless they needed their space. We danced to classical music, sang songs and played sports in the back yard together.

I'd like to take Hawaii and put it into my mother's daycare. YEAAAAHHHHH.

Have a spiffy day!

Retro_modernist, did you watch Hell's Kitchen today? What do you think of that show?

Last night, Bekah was doing something weird in her playroom while Baz and I watched TV, and I made Baz spy on her. This is what was up: She was playing with her dollhouse. She kept swinging the door open and closed, but her dollhouse doesn't have a doorbell sound. So she would shut the door, then play a note on her keyboard. Except. . . the keyboard wasn't on. So she sang, then she opened the door.

She was singing pretending to be a keyboard pretending to be a doorbell! WAY too much imagination for me!

Amd tonight she brushed her caterpillars "teeth" before she went to bed.

Ooh! she also has developed a Linus complex where she can't get up from bed without her blanket, and needs it for many activities throughout the day (sometimes including eating, too much wash, eek!)

Adios,

Melissa

Interesting quiz, for those of you that care. . . =)

You Were Actually Born Under:
Your most comfortable inside your head - and often daydream the day away.
You have an artistic temperament that makes you seem creative to some, eccentric to others.
You avoid conflict at all costs, and you have a difficult time with relationships.
Attractive and with good manners, you tend to shine in social situations.

You are most compatible with a Pig or Rabbit.
You Should Have Been Born Under:

You are totally loyal, faithful, and honest.
However, you don't trust others to be as ethical as you are!
Straight forward and direct, you really aren't one for small talk.
You are a great listener - and an agreeable companion when you're in a good mood!

You are most compatible with a Tiger or Horse.

You'll like this Katherine!

Basil:"Do I LOOK like I eat Mexican food? I may have MARRIED a Mexican, but that doesn't mean I eat Mexican FOOD!"

This was after a discussion about "spicy" Taco Bell food. He, heheheheheheh hahahaha.

We went to some excellent little party type things this weekend. Wonderful people, great food. Bekah stealing balls from big scary dogs, Bekah dancing with a grandfatherly Samoan dude to romantic Hawaiian music, stealing little kisses from the Baz when no one was looking. Playing basketball barefoot in the warm rain and getting thoroughly whipped by a nine year old (She's going to be a basketball STAR though!) I'm starting to enjoy being around people again, after a long hiatus.

Can anyone explain to me exactly why I like Family Guy? It's sort of a nifty show, but not nifty enough to justify the ten episodes I watched this weekend.

And, Final Fantasy 12 is super cool even though there's a lot of dancy teeny bopperness.

I am happy.

Bekah is so cute right now- she is the cutest girl ever! The highlight of yesterday was watching her "feed" goldfish crackers to her dog that she thinks is a cat, before eating each one herself. She's so hypothetically thoughtful! (hmmmm. . . should we get her a pet while she wants to take care of one?)

Today we saw Episode III. People were willing to kill themselves and others in the parking lot to get to this movie. . . but it was good! AND. . . Bekah didn't kill anyone and didn't have to be taken out of the theater during the movie. Revenge of the Sith was better than the other prequels and almost as good as the older ones. The only thing I didn't like was the so-called romance between Padme and Anakin. "I love you, no I love you more, aren't we cute?" * throws up in the corner*

It's weird, I loved Episode 3 and hated the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. This is exactly the opposite of what I expected. Hmmmm, this is probably because I had high expectations for the Guide and no expectations for Revenge of the Sith.

And Basil is absolutely the best husband in history.

Love!,

Bekah has been playing with her Little Touch Leap Pad for an hour now. Blah. She doesn't love me anymore. I've been replaced by a toy that reads to her, sings, plays music, and never gets tired ot it. . . =p
I LOVE BASIL. MWAH!
Our living room looks spiffy now, more like somewhere to hang out than a warehouse.
Has anyone heard whether the Playstation 3 or the Xbox 360 is supposed to be cooler? (They're supposed to come out around Baz's birthday. . . )

Talk to you later!
