spookypagan's Journal

welcome to spookypagan, a communal forum for neopagans, wiccans, magicians, mystics, occultists and any others interested in discussing the darker side of paganism and magic -- the shadow self, ritual magic, spirit evocation, the qlippoth, underworld and chthonic deities like Persephone, Hades, Lilith, and Set (among many others), and how we practice alternate forms of magic and paganism. this is also a gathering place for pagans and occultists whose personal interests tend toward darker music and a darker aesthetic, who prefer listening to darkambient during ritual and wear a lot of black :).

spookypagan is lightly moderated to keep discussion open and civil. new membership is moderated for now, as are posts, but free discourse is encouraged. trolls will be banned, and any drama or flame wars will be scrutinized, with intervention when appropriate. the moderator reserves the right to make all final decisions, with community input.

community guidelines are simple:

• think before you respond, do your research, and contribute to the discussion.
  
• cut long posts and images or any disturbing/adult content (or better yet, friends-lock it so only other community members can read it).
  
• critique and disagreement are part of good debate, flaming and ad hominem attacks are not.
  
• try to stay relevant and on-topic, keep crossposting to a minimum, and no spamming or advertising commercial products. book reviews are fine, as are events of interest to the community, within reason.
