  • Ben Anderson, Radio Host

    Ben Anderson is a Utah native who has been covering the Jazz and the NBA since 2011 when he began his career as a broadcast assistant for David Locke and the Utah Jazz Radio Network.

    Since 2011, Anderson has worked as a radio producer, on-air host, and is currently a full-time writer and radio host covering the Jazz for sports.ksl.com.

  • Chandler Holt

    Chandler Holt is a Utah Jazz Insider & Beat Writer with KSL Sports. Built on a love for basketball and with a career in sports media in mind, Chandler moved from the Seattle area to attended the University of Utah in 2020. He graduated in the fall of 2022 with a Bachelor’s of Communications with a Journalism focus.

    Since joining the KSL Sports team, Chandler has written thousands of articles, brought back the Jazz Notes podcast, and produced NBA-focused content ranging from game analysis to prospect scouting and more.

  • David “DJ” James, Radio Host

    David James joined The Zone in April of 2002, beginning a long partnership with Pat Kinahan. David grew up in suburban San Diego and he is a graduate of UC Santa Barbara. He started his radio career while in college, working part-time at KDB and then full-time at KTMS and Y-97.

    His television sports reporting career began at KEYT in Santa Barbara in 1988. From there he moved to Sacramento where he reported at ABC’s KOVR before moving to Utah in 1992 and becoming a TV sports reporter.

  • Jake Scott, Radio Host

    Jake Scott has had a lifelong passion for radio, doing his first on-air DJ shift in just the fourth grade. Jake has been with The Zone for almost 20 years, starting as an intern in 2003.

    He has worked in many different capacities during his career from producer to show host, to program director. Jake is currently co-host of the Jake and Ben show The Zone, and anchor of the pre-half and post-game shows for the Utah Jazz radio broadcast.

  • Jeremiah Jensen, Sports Anchor

    Jeremiah Jensen is an Emmy award-winning sports anchor, reporter and radio host who is in his 20th year at KSL. He grew up in Star Valley, Wyoming where he played high school football. He was a member of a state championship team and his senior year earned All State honors as a Quarterback and Defensive Back. He’s covered major sporting events including the 2020 Summer Games in Tokyo, Three Super Bowls, the NBA Playoffs, multiple NCAA Tournaments and many more. He’s also covered High School sports in Utah for the past two decades and has the privilege of calling high school football games with Stevenson Sylvester each Friday on KSL’s Game Night Live.

    He is a Heisman voter and votes for preseason and postseason awards for the Big 12 and Mountain West Conferences.

    He and his wife Jennie have been married for 23 years and have four kids.

  • Mitch Harper

    Mitch Harper is a BYU Cougars Insider for KSL Sports and the host of Cougar Tracks, airing daily on YouTube and KSL NewsRadio, the legacy home of BYU athletics.

    He also co-hosts Cougar Sports Saturday and KSL’s Big 12 football show, First & 12. A credentialed member of the BYU beat since 2014, Harper provides coverage, intel, and analysis of BYU athletics across all KSL Sports platforms.

  • Patrick “PK” Kinahan, Radio Host

    Patrick Kinahan arrived in Salt Lake City in August 1993 and neither the market or PK has been the same since. For 14 years he worked as a sportswriter for the Salt Lake Tribune, for which he won Sports Columnist of the Year and primarily covered college football and basketball.

    Fulfilling a dream, PK started as a morning sports talk show host in April 2002 and hasn’t looked back. Career highlights include the Final Four, NBA Finals, Fiesta and Sugar bowls and the being interviewer who got the “magic happens” and “you’ll let down 9 million Mormons” quotes.

  • Sam Farnsworth, Sports Anchor

    After working as a sports intern at KSL in the fall of 2002 Sam was hired to work as a sports producer for KSL through July 2006. Then he left for Colorado where he worked for 13 years as a sports anchor.

    Sam married Sadie Peavler while living in Colorado and their four children were all born in Colorado Springs. After eight years in the Springs, they built a new home and thought they would be in Colorado for many years to come. Less than a year later the call came that there was an opening for a sports anchor at KSL. It was too hard to pass up.

  • Scott Garrard, Radio Host

    Scott Garrard has been a fixture in the Utah Sports Radio scene since 2003. He is the current co-host of the Hans Olsen and Scotty G show – part of the Zone’s lineup since 2014 – as well as the Zone’s Program Director.

    Garrard also serves as the play-by-play voice for Utah State University football and men’s basketball and was recently named the 2020 Utah Sports Broadcaster of the Year by the National Sports Media Association.

  • Tim Lacomb, Radio Host

    Tim LaComb is one of Utah’s most respected basketball voices, bringing decades of coaching insight and on‑air experience to his role as the newest host on the KSL Sports Zone. A longtime analyst for Utah Jazz broadcasts, LaComb has become a trusted presence for fans seeking smart, candid, and deeply informed commentary on the NBA and local college basketball.

    Before joining the KSL Sports Zone lineup, LaComb built a strong following as an analyst for Utah Jazz’s pregame, halftime and postgame shows where he broke down matchups, player development, and organizational strategy alongside Jake Scott throughout the season.

    LaComb is also a familiar voice across KSL Sports programming, frequently joining shows to discuss the NBA Playoffs, the NBA Draft and major storylines surrounding the Jazz and BYU basketball. His perspective blends coaching‑level expertise with the energy of a lifelong student of the game, making him a go‑to guest for hosts and listeners alike.
