You might be seeing the Steam cinema mode instead of ours. What does the room look like? Does it have the floor with the trapezoids adjustments as seen here:

That's the Steam Desktop Game Theater, and is not a 3D screen. The DGT can be aggressive and their software kills other processes like ours.

We generally can avoid having it launch, but if you are seeing this you will want to turn it off either for the game itself, or globally in the Steam Settings. See this guide:

Thank you for the information. So I'm going to ask for a refund if it can't start the game inside the helmet, it's completely useless.

"HelixVision does not convert your games into full VR experiences, it is a big screen, 3D theater experience." thats in the product description, maybe read before you buy next time.
