Are you using a game with a launcher?? Maybe you can tell us what game you are playing or try too play. :)
And what headset you are using. I experience the same but it seems to be an issue with VRidge (see my post about that). You can also enable logging in the ini file and check what is noted there.

As noted, which game are you trying to launch, and what are your system specs? Including driver version.

It's worth trying the launch a couple of times, the first launch of a game can sometimes be broken.

Is the Katanga window hanging and needing to be forced to quit? Or is it saying "Launching game <name>"?
It says "Run game <name>".
Tried running DARK SOULS ™ II: Scholar of the First Sin. And a few more games such as
The Walking Dead: The Game (not The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners). Vr glasses oculus quest 2.
Win10 system
1070ti
Ryzen2700
3d Driver 425.31
Video Driver 452.06
Green readiness checkmarks are lit everywhere.
I tried to run it several times, it hangs at this point. It says "Run the game <name>".

Thanks for the details. We definitely would expect DSII to work without any problems.

Nothing too out of the ordinary with your system, the driver 452.06 is the best choice for now, and should work. Quest 2 we have not been able to test directly, but I tested a Quest 1 using the direct link cable and it worked fine, so we don't think Quest 2 should have any problems when tethered.

DSII is a better one to test with because it is DX11 and they tend to work better in terms of connecting to the game.

As a confirmation, I just tested the game with an Oculus Rift, and it was still working well here with Win 10 2004, Driver 452.06, Steam version of DSII.

Please find the log files for the app, and post them here, and I'll take a look.

Thanks for that log file. That looks normal for everything except that it did not ever get the buffer it needs to draw the game, which is consistent with your seeing it just showing the "Launching..." message. I don't have a good answer for why it works in my case but not yours. Thanks for doing this extra legwork.

Go to the game folder, and check the version of the 3Dmigoto there. There will be a file d3d11.dll probably now disabled_d3d11.dll. Get Properties and check the version number.

It needs to be version 1.3.16.46 in order to connect to VR properly. The original version that comes with the game fix will fix the 3D, but not connect to VR.

If that has the right version, then edit the d3dx.ini file, and set the calls=1 in the [Logging] section, so that it will generate a d3d11_logt.txt file that we can look at.
