Unplayable with PS5 controller
I tried playing with PS5 controller and for some reason it's constantly detecting a R2 input (or whatever button does the punch) because Beebz is nonstop charging forward with her punch even when I don't touch anything. Also inside the menus it's constantly detecting a d-pad up input because the selector is uncontrollably always going up. I tried out other games with the gamepad to see if it's my gamepad that's broken but in other games it works fine. How can I fix it so demon turf works with my PS5 controller?

I think they patched it out since I'm playing with a ps5 controller and I haven't experienced any of the issues you described, so worth giving the game another try since it's quite good imo

I ended up having to enable steam input to use my dual sense with this game. The games ps5 controller implementation seems totally borked. It was just constantly acting like I was hold up/left on the joystick and holding attack before i did this.

I am currently experiencing the same issue, but when I tried using Steam Input it just stopped recognizing my DualSense controller at all :(

Seems like a dead thread with no resolution, I may have to refund this game because of this, but I really don't want to!

Enabling steam input didn't fix the issue at first
but after resetting my computer, it works fine now. I just wish i could choose playstation glyphs...

I have the same problem, except it's constantly detecting the left analog stick. But only when it's wireless, if I connect it via USB it works fine. I suspect fae mischief.

PS5 Dualshock wired user here who just beat the game, I personally didn't run into any problems with the controller throughout the game since the start.

My only two suggestions is to make sure you've enabled the steam input button layout and make sure you update your controller using Playstation's accessories app on PC.
