Increase the Map Scale
While the map is a good size now, due to it's current scale the gradients are not realistic. Trains do NOT like going up hill as a rule, but these are insanely steep. Having a fully upgraded train hauling 12 cars of product in some areas it is a snails crawl up.

The current map scale feels about the same that American Truck Simulator was at launch 1:36 which made the off ramps nearly impossible to traverse with heavy loads. Today it's around 1:19 (which SCS changed it too when AZ got released), and to me that's what SIMTERACT should do with Train Life's map. Yes travel times and the economy would need changes to reflect a new map scale but it would be worth it to get rid of the massive gradients.

With the Publicher Nakon, who owns the rights to this game, broke it is highly unlikely they let the Devs update it

I've never heard of a publisher owning the rights to a game (unless they are one in the same, which is not in this case). Copyrights, IP and Trademarks would belong to SIMTERACT through negotiations and licensing legal crap.

Nacon is a publisher not the developer and they would not own the rights to the game outright.

Look at Cities: Skylines 2. The devs dropped their publisher and changed development teams. The game is still produced, updated and has become better.

This is the problem with most gamers. They fail to understand the difference between developers and publishers. The how things work in the industry. Rights belong to creators not publishers UNLESS contracts are manipulated in a way that would nullify ownership.

SIMTERACT could change publishers because Nacon is going through Insolvency which is the European version of Chapter 11 bankruptcy here in the states as I understand the research. It gets Nacon away from creditors, they are not shutting the doors, they do not have to liquidate every asset, they can remove boards of directors (if they have one), and it allows them to renegotiate their debt.

This also means that SIMTERACT could take their game elsewhere. Now if SIMTERACT stupidly forfeited their rights to Train Life to Nacon in order to have the game published, well that is on them. My guess is that was NOT in the contract they originally signed.

I knew nothing of Nacon prior to buying Train Life. Those that bi*ch on here are the same types that bi*ch about every other developer or publisher that they don't like. You know the petulant child types.

SIMTERACT doesn't down the IP to this game, that is the issue, Nacon does. Same as with the remaining "Life" Series
