This is the first

Sins of a solar empire
Soase entrchment
soase diplomacy

Then Rebellion released and trinity was there after this is over years of period

Sins 2 is the new one and it has alot of the old content in it but completely redone

i didn't see just "Sins of a solar empire" in steam

Just buy rebellion. If you like it get sins 2.

i don't like playing out of order

The first game doesnt have much of a story line. there isnt a campaign. there is lore, but the biggest differences is added units to the game. The sins 2 adds senerios and stuff. If you want buy trinity then rebellion then sins 2.

that's cover the whole story in the games?
(not include lore outside the games)

will trinity gives me a proper introduction to each faction?

Yes it will, but in the long run you miss out on a few extra ships to include a titan for each faction trinity v rebellion

sorry, didn't understands the last part. what exactly i'll miss out and why?

Rebellion is a stand-alone version that incorporates all the changes in Trinity (which, itself, is a collection of three expansions) as well as some new changes of its own (Rebel v Loyalist factions, and the Titans, primarily).

Trinity only lets you play one of the expansions at any time (Diplomacy, Entrenchment, or Vanilla, I think?) while Rebellion builds the rule changes from all three previous versions into one.

Overall, if you don't have any Sins games yet, buy Rebellion. If you already have Trinity, its up to you whether the ability to use all the expansions at the same time, and new toys like titans and corvettes, are worth the new purchase.

No. Rebellion is a stand alone expansion. It includes all of the content from Trinity.

i never played any of that, so i really don't care about this stuff.
all i care about is playing the story in the right order and fully

Here is the TLDR for the order of this series. I would point out that each expansion keeps the new units and upgrades from the previous installment:

1) Sins of A Solar Empire Trinity - This contains (in order of release)
A) Sins of A Solar Empire
B) Sins of A Solar Empire - Entrenchment
C) Sins of A Solar Empire - Diplomacy

2) Sins of A Solar Empire Rebellion - If you buy the full pack, you get:
A) Sins of A Solar Empire Rebellion
B) Sins of A Solar Empire Rebellion - Forbidden Worlds DLC
C) Sins of A Solar Empire Rebellion - Stellar Phenomena DLC
D) Sins of A Solar Empire Rebellion - Outlaw Sectors DLC
E) Sins of A Solar Empire Rebellion - Minor Factions DLC

3) Sins of A Solar Empire II - If you buy the full pack, you get:
A) Sins of A Solar Empire II
B) Sins of A Solar Empire II - Paths To Power DLC
C) Sins of A Solar Empire II - Reinforcements DLC
D) Sins of A Solar Empire II - Times of War DLC
E) Sins of A Solar Empire II - Harbinger DLC

However, I would point out that there are no campaigns in this series. It is simply randomly generated maps (or pre-made maps) that you play. All of the story is either found in the manual, wikia, official website, or other sources. The Times of War DLC is suppose to be the single player campaign for the entire series.

what is TLDR?
and what game have the "The Times of War"? i didn't see it on the list you gave
and btw, if that's the case, i would play only this..

TLDR = Too Long Didn't Read

Basically a summary of the topic for those that dont want to read through all the other discussion.

Regarding "The Times of War", that is a DLC for Sins of A Solar Empire II. It has not yet been released, but it has been announced. It is listed as item 3D in the list provided.

thanks.. i shall add it to my wishlist
