Well, definitely a game I had been waiting on for a while and it's finally here.

Unfortunately, while it has been a blast seeing the sheer volume of content that the game truly has and the amount of customization you can achieve, it is entirely soulless and devoid of any real gameplay value. It's really hard to weigh in on what truly makes a change, and what actually makes a difference compared to, say, your competitors or your previous products.

The current UI navigation is, to say the least, borderline unplayable. There is no clear way to speed up the game, and every time you enter a different tab the game pauses, so you're stuck having to stare at a screen, doing nothing, for minutes. Especially when you are in the research office... forcing you to tab out, wait, and come back to see the values update...

Employee management is also very... deplorable. Having to manually manage each and every employee due to their satisfaction is nice on paper, terrible in practice. Can you imagine what it is like to have 100 employees and having to manually click on each one to send them on vacation? Seems like this was fixed in a recent update. Nice job!

Reviews also seem very random? Sometimes you can have a breakthrough product, complete with every top-level feature you can think of, but someone will still complain that it is not worth it for the price. Which is funny, especially for the CPU, where you don't really have a choice.

Overall, this is an interesting scope and project, but for this INSANE price tag it is not worth it at all. You'd expect an entirely different magnitude of polish for this price. Don't let the amount of content lure you in. Until there are significant QoL improvements made to the gameplay loop, I cannot recommend this game at all.

I do apologise if I missed out on any features. I did my best to follow a direct playthrough given what the game presented to me.

A Great Concept Held Back by Bugs, Broken Mechanics, and Poor Game Design

After 24 hours of gameplay and giving this game a genuine chance, I can say that while it's generally enjoyable and has a promising concept, it suffers from the same recurring problems that have plagued this developer's previous games.

1. Bugs and Technical Issues

Ever since this company started developing mobile games, its releases have consistently been filled with small but frustrating bugs, and this game is no exception.

Here are some of the issues I encountered:

- Custom-built devices don't always save correctly.
- Custom modifications made to operating systems sometimes disappear after saving and reloading the game.
- Device specifications occasionally change or fail to update properly. For example, I set a display to 60 Hz, only to discover that it had reverted to 30 Hz on its own.

These might seem like minor issues individually, but in a game centered around designing and managing technology products, they become incredibly frustrating.

2. A Completely Broken Economy

The economic system is fundamentally unbalanced.

The moment you release your first successful product, the game loses almost all its difficulty. Money becomes practically unlimited, and unless you deliberately make terrible business decisions, it's nearly impossible to bankrupt your company.

There is no meaningful financial challenge, no real pressure to manage resources efficiently, and very little incentive to make strategic decisions once your company becomes profitable.

3. An Inconsistent Review System

The product review system feels poorly designed.

Most of the time, the ratings make some degree of sense. However, there are occasions when reviews become completely unreasonable, penalizing products over insignificant details while seemingly ignoring their overall quality.

This makes the system feel inconsistent and, at times, arbitrary rather than rewarding thoughtful product development.

4. Extremely Tedious Employee Management

The employee management system is genuinely awful.

At the beginning, when you're managing six to nine employees, manually assigning vacations can be an interesting little mechanic.

However, when your company grows to 120 employees and you have to check every single one individually just to give them time off, the entire process becomes unbelievably tedious.

What starts as a charming management feature eventually turns into repetitive busywork.

There desperately needs to be an automated vacation system, bulk management tools, or some other way to handle employees efficiently as the company expands.

5. A Retail Store System That Doesn't Work

Throughout my entire 24-hour playthrough, I never managed to make my retail stores profitable.

I upgraded them, sold them, experimented with operating 12 stores, and even reduced everything to a single location. Nothing worked. They consistently operated at a loss.

Ironically, the mobile version handles this mechanic in a much simpler but considerably more effective way.

6. A Stock Market With No Real Purpose

I never found a meaningful reason to engage with the stock market.

Because the game's economy is so poorly balanced, buying or selling shares barely matters. Once your company becomes successful, money is essentially infinite.

As a result, the stock market feels like an unnecessary feature rather than an actual strategic component of running a technology company.

7. The Biggest Problem: A Fundamentally Flawed Time and Development System

This is, by far, my biggest criticism of the entire game.

The premise is that you can build a technology empire comparable to Apple or Samsung, developing smartphones, tablets, computers, operating systems, and an entire ecosystem of products.

Unfortunately, the game's development and time-management systems make that vision practically impossible.

The most I managed to release was eight devices in a single in-game year. And that doesn't mean eight completely different product categories. The game counts budget, mid-range, and premium variants as separate devices.

In other words, releasing three versions of the same smartphone already accounts for three of those eight products.

This completely undermines the fantasy of running a major technology company.

The game offers an impressive variety of technologies, research opportunities, product categories, and customization options, yet its own development mechanics prevent you from taking full advantage of them.

Developing a single smartphone can take approximately four in-game months. Want to release a tablet afterward? That's another four months. Need to update your operating system? Add another two months.

Before you know it, almost an entire year has passed, and you've barely managed to update a fraction of your product lineup.

I frequently found myself releasing a new smartphone generation only once every three years because there simply wasn't enough time to develop everything else.

How are you supposed to build a company comparable to Apple or Samsung when you can't maintain a consistent annual release schedule across multiple product categories?

The game desperately needs a parallel development system.

Players should be able to assign different teams to work on multiple projects simultaneously. One team could develop smartphones, another could handle tablets, another could work on computers, while a dedicated software division develops operating systems and applications.

That would make the experience considerably more realistic, engaging, and strategically interesting.

Without this fundamental change, the game offers the illusion of building a massive technology empire without actually providing the tools necessary to operate one.

8. Final Thoughts: Great Potential, but Little Confidence in the Developer

Despite all these criticisms, I genuinely believe this game has an excellent concept. It can be entertaining, and the idea of creating your own technology company, developing products, and competing in different markets has enormous potential.

However, potential alone isn't enough.

I sincerely hope the developers commit to improving this game, fixing its bugs, balancing its economy, and redesigning the mechanics that currently undermine the experience.

Unfortunately, based on this company's history, I'm not particularly optimistic.

My concern is that the developers will release one or two updates, introduce some additional content without properly addressing existing problems, and eventually abandon the game to start developing another title.

I really hope I'm wrong.

This game doesn't necessarily need more devices, more technologies, or more superficial features. It needs its existing systems to actually work together and deliver the experience it promises.

There's a genuinely great game buried underneath these problems. I just hope the developers take the time to bring it out.

Final verdict: A promising and entertaining technology tycoon game held back by frustrating bugs, poorly balanced systems, excessive micromanagement, and development mechanics that actively undermine its central premise.

Requires Microsoft Edge WebView2, just use protontricks and install it selecting devices tycoon and installing it using it or by installing the exe file and launching that file with protontricks using devices tycoon

Issue of no cursor will appear and to fix it launch protontricks select devices tycoon, select default wine prefix, run winecfg go to the graphics tab and enable automatically capture the mouse in full-screen windows.

Other than that works fine with linux
