Can't launch the game: easy anti cheat error 20006

"error code: 20006 (cannot create service (startservice failed: 1053)"
The game was running fine yesterday, reinstalling and verifying integrity of the game files have done nothing.

Does anyone know of a fix? Support has been thoroughly uninterested in helping me at all.

Updating in case anyone else has a similar issue, seemed my problem was windows had some corrupt files.

Opening command prompt in admin and running:
sfc /scannow
Fixed it.
