Well licenseing jets cost a lot and some planes licenseing are in a limbo situation. If it were not then they would have done it already as seen woth AC 0 and AC 5 pre order ports

They all ready made the game. The licensing shouldn't matter. Especially if they just give it out for free like what they basically just did as a pre-order bonus for AC0.

It's not hard but literally all they had to do was this. You make AC 8 fully. You then make the full on proper port. BUT instead of attaching it as a free DLC port like they did, you instead give it out as it's own seperate free game. Oh look at all these free steam keys for AC0. Ah shucks. Because if it really is a big deal then it should've been a big deal with it being DLC attached to 8 but it isn't. This argument doesn't hold water.

Unfortunately, that's not how licensing works! At least, not necessarily. One does not always get the rights in perpetuity.

The real way to handle this would have been to just not use any trademarks from the beginning. You can put an F-22 in your game without licensing it from Lockheed Martin. F-22 isn't trademarked, Lockheed Martin is. Just leave out the branding.

Emulating and polishing it up that way is way better than this Port.

Its an XBOX Port that detects PS controllers but not their input.They did a lazy job.

Yeah, I do Emu games a lot but still would love to support PA too.

I have played the emulated version both on PCSX2 and Other emulators

This port has a significatly higher resolution (Higher than 4k on PCSX2) and crispier texture, and you dont even have to setup an emulator for it, so just profit

The licensing only applies to the names of planes. The models are fair use. All they have to do is make up fake names in the menus to resell ports of the old games.

Wish it was standalone with achievements as they promised. We paid the same as the console players and get a degraded experience.

Yeah I know rights don't last forever. But the game is all ready made. They all ready have it. If the licensing were that important they would have to destroy what they all ready made OR they shouldn't have made AC0 a pre-order bonus in which case they should rip it away from us right now. And that was with credit to all the aviation companies in the game.

btw... Just finish Zero ToT Its so good! AC8 better be good as this one!!!

For real the Knight of the Round table motif is just so cool! Mission 18 is literally DMC3 last Virgil duel fight's level!
