Sort of disappointed missed out on AC Zero
Disappointed to have missed out on a chance to get AC Zero because i didn't want to pre-purchase.

If anyone remembers the Cyberjunk release they'd be wary of pre-purchasing, too. I wouldn't have even AC8 pre-purchased at half price. I dont do pre-purchase or early release.

Now i'm SOL without emulation and it turns out from all players that AC8 is really good.

Disappoointment that I'm SOL is stopping me making the leap to purchase now.
Back to Command and Conquer.

Sounds like a whinge, I know, but I'm not buying into FOMO, not after what CDPR did to the gaming community, despite ending up with one of the greatest games of all time, albeit after years of patches.

i prepurchased cyberpunk and i put in over 100 hours into it on release, and then another 200+ hours after release, money well spent

Why not emulate like we've all been doing for the last twenty years? It's the same game. If missing out on Zero is the only reason you're not buying 8, this is, most certainly, a troll post.

The port has some enhancements over the emulated version. Emulators have retroachievements support, but it lacks some of the modifications that do make AC zero a bit better on modern hardware

Sorry to disappoint you but if previous AC exclusive ports from pre-orders are anything to go by then the chance of that actually happening is nil.

The exact same thing happened with the modern re-release of AC5 and AC6 which are still locked as a pre-order only exclusive till this day due to costly licensing rights from the real-world aircraft manufacturers.

Yeah that's suck... but understandable

btw... someone said once... If Chinese can get away with most of their aircraft design and so PA can with all of these license thingy... xD

You haven't missed anything really. It's as plain of a port as it gets, they didn't even bother implementing MKB controls.
Textures and videos are upscaled, I suppose algorithmically, given how some stuff is a wee wonky.
They didn't really do anything one couldn't achieve at home with the original game.

bro i never had the chance to try the console version, so yes most people who are like me are missing out. i do have the belkan war because of the preorder and i enjoy it more than i can say. If AC8 wasn't such a mess with the graphics and the crashes i'd give them 10/10 but i reserve any judgement for 6 months for them to fix 8

You can still buy a disc and put it into a DVD drive hooked-up to your PC. Heck, PS2 games even play on mid-tier Android phones these days.
The PC port is just the PS2 game with 60 FPS, widescreen and upscaled video and textures patched into it.

true that Bercut. Really wasn't baiting. Just not enjoying the fomo

@jonathon, not a troll dude. Just saying about the fomo. Now i'll never get access to it as part of AC8 which i was expected to buy reviews unseen. That's pretty whack. Bercut made a good point about refund, but i try not to abuse thatt system, so i didnt think of it.

I would agree with you if I didn't try it.

Its such a great port. I like how it takes the whole screen. What sucks is that it's built in the same game, can't download it separately
