Extremely Disappointed by Mandatory Privacy Policy without Opt-Outs
Just wanted to say I'm extremely disappointed by the invasive privacy policy the game requires you to fully-accept if you even want to play the singeplayer.

The privacy policy is nothing new for Bandai-Namco unfortunately. It basically gives them the right to spy on you, shove all data over to Japan and commercialise everything they find however they please. I'm not surprised, this was part of AC7 as well, but with AC7, at least you could decline and continue playing the singleplayer.
AC8 doesn't even give you that. No opt-out switches or "accept only legitimate interests"-buttons either, as is commonplace for services marketed in GDPR regions either.
This implementation is not a sound practice for GDPR.

Also, the Steam store page lacks a disclaimer. It's only listing the digital restrictions management systems used and the EULA, not this abhorent anti-privacy policy.

It's extremely disappointing such a great series is getting enshittified with this corporate ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
