Fun Game! Does the Demo Have an Ending?
Had a lot of fun with the demo and think I've found most of the stuff. Was just wondering if the demo has an ending?

Also, it's not possible to scan the QR code in the house without crouching (which isn't possible!)

Thanks, glad you liked it!
The demo has no end, but it has a border that the player cannot go beyond (further from Whiskey Springs Lodge).
The problem with the QR code in the Lodge will be fixed in the next update (very soon).

I think it's optional and depends on the game. First of all, the demo gives the player to try the game mechanics, the main gameplay features before purchasing, this is my opinion.

idk back where i come from in the old AAA/AA market on x360/ps3 era a DEMO wasn't something as subjective as you say. i have never played a demo without an ending on conclusion. and usually a demo prompts you with "thank you for playing"/"coming in xx date"/"pre order now" messages. even indie demos on x360 arcade marketplace were actual DEMOS of the full game.

just call it for what it is... a damn playtest of what you have currently, not no "demo" lol. i hate to be "that guy" bringing context to everything but it's true at the end of the day. i played this "demo" expecting something else after the walk back but nothing. at least give a damn message saying "hey there's nothing else i wanna show you" or something lol.

I'll think about it, thanks. Maybe I'll add something like that.
By the way, this is not all that we have in the game at the moment (the game has been in development for a year and a half). I just need time to finish all the mechanics of the game, put everything in order.

right it's no big deal. im just saying that there IS a context between calling something a "playtest"(i.e. alpha, beta) and a demo. this is why these different words are used as indicators. these terms are not mutual and are very different from each other. a demo implies that the game is FINISHED completely and you are offering players a taste test so they know what they are spending their money on.

a playtest(alpha/beta) are for games that are still in development.

Now I understand what you mean. Yes, there really is a difference. I think it's worth working on it.
I absolutely enjoyed this little demonstration ;-) of what your game had to offer.
Wishlisted, and looking forward to the full game!

And thanks AlphaBetaGamer for blogging about it.
