I missed this on my first time through the game. Somehow I picked up letter #1 but ended up without it in my journal by the time I got to the tower (could be my fault). After picking up letter #6, could I have used the signposts to return, grab the first letter, and get back to the tower to do the 'loop?' Or, does the 'loop' have to be executed right after picking up the last letter?
I just replayed through a second time and grabbed them all in sequence and got the achievement but I am not sure if that was necessary.

The notes should not appear a second time, but if so, then you probably need to collect all the notes to get the achievement. I'm working on it right now, hopefully I can fix it.

How it should work: Those notes that you have already picked up will not spawn again. If you missed a note, you can return to any location and pick up the note you need. But apparently there are some problems with this.

I have scoured the Deer Trail Inn for the note until I can't do it anymore. Any instructions I've received aren't viable. Will someone write a guide, in English. I need proper directions for this one. A screenshot with an arrow would be lovely! Until I see that, I've shelved the game, getting all but that last achievement....

Spoiler Alert for 6 Top Secrets. As you collect them, they will appear in your journal, clearly labeled.


6 Locations:
1. Lodge: between couch and chair.
2. Diner: on wall to the right of fire extinguisher.
3. "Fan house:" When you enter, there are shelves to your left. If you peek from the end of these (the end that faces towards the interior), the note is behind the shelves on the wall. It is VERY tricky to see and retrieve.
4. Hotel: After descending the first set of interior stairs (don't go down the 2nd set of stairs yet), there is a side area with 2 doors. One is open into a room. Note is on the front of that door which you can't see because the door is open so you have to peek behind it.
5. Wooden bridge: Cross it and look at the outside wall, to your right . You have to get off the bridge and turn right to see it.
6. Top of tower. Follow around the top level, to end of the side opposite the door. Grab the 6th note and go counterclockwise around the top of the tower (you can walk straight across the stair gap). When you loop back to where you picked up the note, the achievement should pop.

Sorry Cindy, I wrote that last comment when I had read your message and went back only to find there was one door by the entrance and the other led out of the lobby. I was led by the guide to believe this note what near the entrance, not out of that room. I did go through that door and it led to the corridor of doors, I'll check it again. I know the bedroom you're talking about and it's not near the Inn entrance as described by the Russian guide. So, ... Now I know it's in further, I'll go back and try again! Thanks :)
