When should I play the DLC?

Should I play the DLC before NG+?
Is the DLC available in NG+ immediately, or do I need to clear the game again?
Any difference between NG and NG+ DLC trials?

You do have to clear the game again if you start ng+ to go to the dlc, at least thats how it was unless they have changed it.

This is no longer accurate. You can access the DLC area upon starting a new game plus. It will be available to teleport.

The furnace of war trials WILL NOT be affected regardless if you are Not NG or NG+, since it has its own scaling system inside, not sure about the boss rush, but they do have difficulty selectors afterall

Not really much is affected i guess?

Nothing is affected, this is correct. The same enemies / difficulty / progress will remain between new NG runs.
