Campaigns and Admiralty backing

Hello,
do you konw if it is possible to get the maximal rewards of a campaign with only Admiralty backing? Or do you need further gold for the last steps?

So, theoretically, if you are a very active player, buy Admiralty backing at the beginning of the campaign and complete every weeky missions, do you have enough renown for the tier 8 ship when the campaign ends?

Well, i can fully confirm. Had some quite active weeks and then bought the Admiralty backing. Now i have a very nice french battleship of tier 8. Which was quite a steal for 1750 gold, as i have received 750 gold as rewards from the campaign.
Honestly, this is very, very cheap

Yeah, and she's not that bad either just need a good build.
