Still banned on ANZACGAMERS server
Hi there,

I'm still permanently banned, for being a "troll", on the ANZACGAMERS server for merely voicing my opinion on the in-game players on a guide outside the server.

It's been almost more than a year (I was banned around August 2020 and haven't touched the game since).

Apparently there are rules outside the server for talking about the server?

I believe it's pretty unfair.

I barely talked in the in-game chat on that server but I got banned for talking on the DoD:S Steam community.

I can't even find my ban anywhere on here: http://theanzacsgamers.com/sourcebans/index.php?p=banlist

If any ANZACGAMER admin is reading this, can I please be un-banned?

I enjoyed playing on there in my spare time since there aren't many active Aussie servers on Dod:S.

I broke no rules in the server at any point.

Kind regards.

what guide did you comment on?
Absolutely! From WW1 to Vietnam... ANZAC fought for a free Ozeania, a free western world. Now, Australia is the most advanced nation in the western world when it comes to authoritarianism. On top, you got those aholes who smear their name. :x
Update: I tried signing into their forums to try and get an admins attention and they banned me on there
When it comes to ANZACS its like talking to a brick wall with those guys.

I used to play this game competitively from 2004 to 2008 on Telstra GameArena servers when the game was massive and had 100's of talented players.

Public clans like Anzac will "ban you on sight" if your gaming skills are too much for them to handle.

They love targeting people with a 3+ KDR or above... anzac admin "zomg never seen this steam account before he must be a cheat or a banned player on a SMURF account connecting via a VPN"

Anzac/WaD have been a menace to ausdod for over a decade, they finally got their wish come true when the original dod scene died in oce region and because all the servers went down people had no choice but to play on anzacs because it was the only ACTIVE server in OCE region to play on.

These days anzacs have managed to permban most of the competitive players including myself..... YEP THATS HOW SAD THEY ARE f***king holding grudges from over a decade ago its just PLAIN INSANITY.

How did this happen you might ask?

The competitive community didn't get on with the public clans mainly because they had stupid rules like "no spawn camping or pistol rolling etc" which lead to most of the dod community giving them a REAL HARD TIME... they would get abused then go back to hiding in their own server mainly because they admin power there.

What type of people are you talking to on there.

So normal people go out and do things on the weekend but these blokes well they get drunk, ban people and talk about their "miserable" life openly over the mic like its a SNAPCHAT/instagram story lmao, their social life revolves around connecting to their server after 6PM AEST to mumble trash over the mic while sinking down b00ze.
What's wrong with not welcoming "3+KDR pros" on a public server for casuals?

I think your missing the point the game is dead and there is only ONE active server in AUS..

F**K playing on some USWest server 200+ ping that's just cancerous
Yer very disappointed.. only one aus server to play and got perma banned for "trolling" absolute horrendous admins

Yes, a very common behavior among openly grumpy admins in the DoD:S scene. Well, and then guys like that wonder why their skills never improve. One of the first things I learned from playing games like this was that the only way to really improve is to play against better players over and over again. But these guys have such big or small egos (as you will) that they can't stand to lose once.

These are the most dangerous people in the world, I'm not kidding. When people like that have power in real life, it's best not to get in their way. The good thing is that such people are usually way too busy with themselves that they rarely make it to the top, there is something more to it than being in love with yourself ;-)

Hold up, you spying on me!? That you outside my window at night!? Kinky... ;P

A well known whack job powertripper that had immense power once was Adolf Hitler which is quite ironic considering this is a WW2 fps game :P

Well, there's another side to this coin: a lot of these old folks are keeping this game alive and I'm really grateful for that. I can come back to this after 1,2,3 years and there are still servers. I especially thank the “1. Marine Raider Battalion and the 6th Ranger Battalion. Even though I live in Germany, I often prefer to play on their servers. I really like playing online games with Americans, they are not as stiff as Germans ;-)

Dude, some of us have been playing this game since it was a mod. Some of us have played it for more than 20 years and we know most of the long-time players. It's like a very big family and I bet it's the same for CS players. You're right, this game plays a big role in my life ;-)

It's always sad to see bans like this because they mean fewer players :-/
they ban you in game and the you go to sign up to forums and put your steam id in and it bans you from signing up to talk to someone about it so there isnt much you can do :(
update: a few years ago i got unbanned, played a few games, then i got perma banned. probably cause i went around killing people with a shovel... lol, sad that people's egos are hurt from the blade of a shovel :axisfountain::alliedstar::alliedbridge::dodcp::ironcross:
