Where are the Players?
Why are so few players playing this game? The daily peak player count is currently around 150, which is far too low. So where are all the players?

They (we) quit, because there has been no new content for over half a year already. The latest patches do not contribute to gameplay.

What's more, it's been like what, almost a year since the game released and we still have less content than the original game had.

People are hacking, because they use old stuff, because the game's source code is still the same as it was before.

Modders did LOTS of awesome job in a few weeks, but the official devs cannot do so. :/

Fun game, sadly ruined by the devs, who got all the money and dipped.

I have left the game since April, and honestly i do not regret it. I agree with you about the devs ruining the game, not on purpose, but by bad decision making. I do not think the game can become a hit again, mechanically speaking, it is pretty outdated, even older games that inspired DR have more solid gameplay that held the test of time, i.g. Castle Crashers and Diablo.

By having the game use the same code, the game will hardly evolve enough to compete, and only old school players will stay playing, idk if they've ever done a research to know how many new players are buying it, but i suppose it's not even 1% of the whole playerbase.

Finally, I do believe they are working on a big update, but while doing this massive overhaul on engine, graphics, performance etc. is great news, leaving the game with no updates for almost 6 months was a terrible decision.
i didn't even know about this game being on steam and i loved it back in 2010. it was never recommended to me even though i play a ton of similar games.
November comes Version 1.0 out *-*

My Friend Code is: dgvtwrh
And the """"devs"""" dare to raise the price even more LOL, game should be 5usd max
There won't be many players for version 1.0 at such an exorbitant price. Nostalgia shouldn't come at such a high cost—especially for a project created by players.
