Cheating, verbal abuse, and other poor behavior ruins the experience of other players in Dungeon Rampage, making it an uncomfortable and unwelcoming space to be in.

To ensure a welcoming and positive experience for all players we’ve added “restricted” accounts that are still able to play the game and whose friends can still join them, but are only able to be matched randomly with other restricted accounts in the dungeons.

Accounts can only be restricted for poor behavior like cheating or toxicity. If you encounter a cheater inside a Dungeon use the new report button and report them! (You can also block them so you don’t play with them again.)

An account can become restricted for a number of reasons:

1. Attempting to use cheats or hacks designed for the original release of Dungeon Rampage.
   
2. Attempting to use cheats or hacks designed for the Steam release of Dungeon Rampage.
   
3. Manual review of account behavior by Dungeon Rampage staff.
   
4. Being reported by another player with video evidence on the form: https://forms.gle/8s25XHFTe35p2HXy9
   
5. Having an excessive number of reports.
   
6. Detection of cheats via anti-cheat measures in Dungeon Rampage.
   
7. A member of Steam Family Sharing getting their account restricted (you will be informed explicitly in game if your account has been restricted because of a Steam Family Sharing member’s behavior. Purchasing your own copy of the game will remove the restriction.)

Restricted accounts have a ⚠️ symbol at the start of their name.

Don’t worry! Having a restricted account only affects a handful of social features and does not stop you from enjoying Dungeon Rampage.

1. Restricted accounts can still log in and play Dungeon Rampage normally.
   
2. Restricted accounts can still be added as a friend and their friends can join their dungeon and play together normally.
   
3. Restricted accounts will not be able to see their unrestricted friends online (even if they are online) and cannot join their friends in the dungeon. A player with an unrestricted account must join the player with a restricted account.
   
4. Restricted accounts can be randomly matched with other players who have restricted accounts in the dungeon.
   
5. Restricted accounts can not be randomly matched with players who have unrestricted accounts in the dungeon.
   
6. Ultimate Rampage runs that include a player with a restricted account will not be posted to the Ultimate Rampage leaderboard.

Dungeon Rampage Account Restrictions are applied to Steam Accounts. If you are using someone else's copy of Dungeon Rampage through Steam Family sharing then your Dungeon Rampage account will also be temporarily restricted while using your family member’s copy of the game.

In official community channels, we ask that you do not share information about how to cheat (if caught doing so, you will be removed from official community channels and risk losing access to the game.)
In game, a small string of numbers and letters appears on the top corner, you aren’t allowed to obstruct the string, or your username, doing so may result in your account being terminated.
Attempting to bypass Anti-Cheat measures or Moderation tools.

Restriction is our most common choice for handling poor behavior in Dungeon Rampage. We want everyone to be able to enjoy the game. But if an account or individual player exhibits extreme negative behavior including cheats, hacks, or toxicity your account can be terminated.

ATTEMPTING TO BYPASS ANTI-CHEAT OR MODERATION TOOLS WILL ALWAYS RESULT IN PERMANENT ACCOUNT TERMINATION.

At any time, we reserve the right to outright ban people from accessing and playing the game. This means that if you cheat, are being toxic, or break other rules, you may lose access to the game. This includes access to any purchased items or DLCs with no obligation to refund them.
Players detected by Dungeon Rampage’s anti-cheat system as cheaters for the first time will have their account temporarily restricted. Further cheating will result in longer restrictions and eventually permanent account restriction.

Warning! Videos of breaking the game rules, excessive reports on the offending account, or other proof beyond reasonable doubt that cheats are being used will result in a detected account being manually investigated and permanently restricted.

Temporary Account restriction will only end if no cheats are used for the duration of the temporary restriction. Further cheating will result in longer restriction time and then permanent account restriction.
