Apply this patch to your code and it will work: https://github.com/speedvoltage/hl2dm-fixes/commit/83ec8e70331f89daffe913bd545711529e0c09ce
how would i do that? Friend me Peter brev, i removed all becouse i though i was being hack on my home server, i know,,not so smart,,but you never know.
I was getting that too, rebooted my machine & pow, now the game won't even start at all.... Fantastic.
This ♥♥♥♥ is terrible. I can't really play any servers now.
Give all the server owners some time to process the update, especially the modded ones.
Its been a while since the last update so I don't have my build tools installed and its 3am for me personally, so I will see if I can do something quick but otherwise I will have to postpone fixing bouncyball to tomorrow.

I dont even rememebr what i got to do. Good luck my friend. I am still using this on both -

PatchVersion=10889068
ClientVersion=10889068
ServerVersion=10889068
ProductName=hl2mp
appID=320
ServerAppID=232370

with no luck

Would me just steamcmd a new one work? or still same effect?
Bouncyball is back online now, socal1 is to (Socal2 is by another coder so he has to update that one for the part I can't do).

@GuitarSlayer, no updating it is not enough for you since you run game mods. You will need to update your code but it should be pretty easy since speedvoltage already figured out the changes. Just do exactly what his commit does (I had to do it by hand since I can't apply git patches automatically with how different my folders are, its mainly gravity changes).

Basically just a ton of copy pasting, a compile, then replacing your server_srv.so and steam.inf.

If you get a classtables error in your server instead of the version mismatch your steam.inf is correct. If you don't have a correct steam.inf you'd normally get it from the update itself but you can copy it from the client.
@Multiplayer Bot, the update has some useful stuff for Linux in it. Its just that the servers with the most work in have to do the changes manually instead of automatically updating since they changed the networking of the game a bit.

So I don't actually mind this one even if it gave me a heartattack like usual with the potential of me not being able to update my server whenever they do these.

ok, ty ill try i am a dll server and i did not make it ( russin player did for me), so i might have to have him do it for me,,thank you, but i think i might be done, last time someone made it for me and now hes not on friend list and i cant do the way he says to do it, stay kool all.
Not maintaining your own code is tricky with .so mods since then you have to hope they update or go back to the unmodded .so file.

But we've been here before and I have been through many of these (including this one) where I also feared they did a change I can't update.

I do recommend learning how to compile his code if he gave it to you. Since the changes are public its a useful skill to learn because then you can do it yourself just by spending 10 minutes carefully copy pasting the patch.
